The Italian and the German are intense. The Spanish, French and Japanese are beautiful. The English is nostalgic as hell for me and a favourite, second only to Italian.

The Italian part really pulled at my heart. I've only heard the English song until now and to hear the only two Italian words I clearly understood, "fratello" meaning brother and "basta" meaning stop it/that's enough made me automatically think of the two Italian brothers and what would happen if they were in a similar situation to the brothers in the movie.

Actually, he says "non ti basta quello che tu fai", which means "What you are doing is not enough, you want more!". So that you could understand a little better the text ^^

(Was that what you wanted??) Chorus: Ich send' den Schwarm, ich send ihn her!! (I send the swarm, I send it to here!!) Ramses: Nun soll mein Herz verhärten, (Now shall my heart be hardened,) was es auch kosten mag. (whatever it may cost.) Du wirst es seh'n, (You will see,) dir hilft nun kein Fleh'n. Italian is a very passionate and emotional language. I actually had to do an Italian song in choir that was about Julius Cesar's son and how he was mourning his father. There was anguish, saddness and so much in the sound. Even German is passionate in a more authorities wave. Trust me you don't want to catch a German or Italians anger

I love this~ This really reminds you of just how easily a country can be divided and/or go to war with itself, with such prime examples as the Revolutionary War (which technically was a country at war with itself, since the colonies were a part of Great Britain), the Civil War, the French Revolution, the division of Eastern and Western Germany, etc. It's a wonder how the human race has kept it together for so long. 0_0

I know, it's just that the chorus is that version's strongest point; the other parts aren't bad, but are done better by others like French and Spanish in this case. A simple matter of switching the order ;)

Oh my gosh. I love language and music and I've always though how much more beautiful music is languages I don't know would be if I could understand them. But I've just realized that that would ruin the magic of not knowing and being swept along by the music. So instead of only hearing the words, I hear the music, all of it. (But I'd still like to know many other languages . Just not for the sole purpose of song.)
