I really like the railgun, though it would have been funny to turn the entire front half of the submarine into a massive particle beam weapon. Please more of the yeetus-deletus railgun. How fast can a railgun propel a projectile to? And if you propel a railgun projectile fast enough, can you get it to glitch past kinetic shields?

@@teathesilkwing7616 You can also seal the hull into upper and lower parts and rig the air pumps to act as backup roll control. If you can get away with only turning on the upper air pumps and if that keeps your vehicle above water it'll be much more stable. An added bonus to this strategy is that you can segment up the hull like the bulwark and all that can be a very efficient way to add survivability. I always forgot to add air pumps to my ship and now I realize why I had to add so much more alloy then other people to make them float. That's another way to make it more stable if your main armor is metal make the deck out of alloy in order to save weight. Since the deck doesn't usually take as much fire anyways. You can always replace it later if need be.

I have an idea for what to call this ship. The Alicorn. The Alicorn, in mythology, is a unicorn with black wings whose appearance heralded the apocalypse. In pop culture, the Alicorn is the name of a super-sized submarine in Ace Combat 7’s DLC missions. This Alicorn’s most well-known armaments are a vertical launch system capable of firing swarms of missiles, UAV fighters and (most notably) three railguns, one of which is capable of delivering a nuclear payload. The captain of the Alicorn is a man called Captain Matias Torres. His best quotes are “SALVATION!” “Don’t you see! One million, one million lives!” and “(maniacal laughter)”

I'm still in the spaceship camp, but I have to say, this sub probably has the coolest interior of any vehicle I've seen you build, in large part because of how open and functional it it. I hope you continue to make use of cameras, screens, and open interiors in future series, even if they're mostly relegated to flagships in campaign. Something about the view from your captain's chair makes combat feel a lot more immersive, especially with the occasional explosion sweeping across the glass ceiling. Also, if you're looking for missile suggestion, have you considered a vertically firing Huge missile that then releases a cluster of medium missiles that then home in on the target from above? So a MIRV, rather than the normal cluster warhead style where the delivery system follows the smaller missiles in. Alternatively, rather than go with missiles, you could try to build a KKV by spawning an independent ship/projectile, and then hitting it in the back with a graviton ram. It's an unusual weapon system and it can do quite a bit of damage, if you design it projectile correctly.

Just some help with fuse timers- it'd be easier to work with distance instead of time (for obvious reasons, you want it to penetrate a certain depth, you don't really care how long it takes). So, figure out how long it takes to penetrate a metre and you can work from there! Your railguns are travelling 1,112 m per 1 second, so to change that from m/s to s/m just flip the fraction upside down- in this case 1/1,112 = 0.0008993, so just up the fuse by roughly 0.0009 seconds for every metre you want the round to penetrate.

The depth portion of the fuse isn't layers but actual distance. So 2 layers of 4m beams angled slightly can very easily set off a 6m depth fuse.
