I think I saw sniper shots get purple halo when they went through poison clouds, and also it said "carries over status effects" in the sniper description. So I guess there is a way to make a "poison dart" build. Also, at 36:07, after the negative it says "Powerups stack", which is probably why it's named "Powerup Addicted Sniper"

About the poison dart thing, yes thats in fact the case. If a sniper projectile goes through a poison puddle or bomb, it takes it and applies it to all parts it hits. I think you can even take enemy poison and use it against them.

Think it was called the squirter, essentially just a low range poison thrower. I guess, if you can build so that your sniper shot flies through it's poison you can get consistent poison snipers. Takes more power then though.

You could have made the sniper even better, as they carry debuffs, meaning if you for example spray poison and then fire the sniper through it becomes a Poison Bullet

Cra'than (The red and bone colored enemies that have that healing ability) have a breed unique weapon called Leech, whose behavior is similar to the Energy Leech, except instead of stealing energy it steals health. They also have the Sizzler, which emits that electric shock - This weapon used to be very difficult to defend against because there was no delay before it triggered. Very troublesome to deal with in close quarters, lol

I'm not sure whether it actually does it or just looked like it because of how you moved around. But the energy leech seems to work like a sort-a weak grapple which does combo nice keeping a line on the enemy with ranged attacks as opposed to trying to anticipate movement.

The version of spore released for the iPod (non-touch versions), is arguably a rogue lite. It only covers the cell stage, but has semi-randomly generated stages (each with a theme, and which come in the same order each run), you lose your progress if you die, and it also has bosses of a sort. I spent many hours playing it as a kid, but I’m not sure how you’d play it nowadays, or whether it’s even been archived anywhere. I doubt Apple still provides downloads for the old iPod games, and I’m not sure of the state of emulation for them.
