@Theunis , his defense needs work agreed, he is a work in progress but his potential is amazing. The purpose of springboks alignment camps is exactly what you mentioned. Rassie & especially Nienaber will definitely improve him in that department.

Indeed he does. Willemse and Fassi are the same age at 22 and they are the future of the 15 Jersey in my opinion. Willie has had a great time at the Boks but at the end of his International career. Time to mentor the young talent and build towards the next World Cup. The only question is are the going to be ready for B&I Lions by next year or do we stick with Willie until then ??

Shel R good question, considering the lack of rugby recently it’s tough to say. Personally I feel even if they don’t play, they should be part of the extended squad. Agreed a 100% on Willie, it’s time to mentor the young ones. He has served us well.

I loved it when Fassi ran down Dyantyi!! It shows how quick he actually is - he ran down and caught Dyantyi (Springbok at the time) from a standing start because Dyantyi intercepted. When you watch this video, you see a tall, rangey, almost gangly runner and its difficult to understand how quick he is - the Dyantyi intercept shows his awkward running style and speed. What a player - great all-around game. One for the future. Future Bok.

I think it would do him harm to pick up weight.... He's not supposed to have any other body size than he does now.... He can improve his defense through training no weight gain needed.... There is enough physicality in mapimpi and nkosi and surprisingly cheslin(which proves my point)

@@mihlesportsgames5537 Kolbe is an incredible stepper, but I doubt he is faster than Mapimpi. Kolbe's amazing side stepping (with good speed of course) gets him over the line, Mapimpi gets over the line with raw power, timing and speed.
