Aphelios does not look hard, as long as you learn what each gun does it's just a matter of knowing what's available, you don't get to choose what you have and his weapons all synergise well together so as long as you're not dumb he basically plays himself, just make sure to throw a lulu on him and you're good to go. From everyone I've played with on PBE, they've all gotten crazy fed on their first game and all said he felt pretty easy.

@@foxtheprogaymer yea thats the problem with such champs (cough CertainlyT champs cough), they have -0% wr in low elo- 100% wr because of smurfs in low elo and 100 % banrate in high elo/proplay. Its not hard to get good at one champ, so "hes hard" isnt makeing him any more balanced, like a onetrick will learn a master a champ if not in 100 matches then in 150. The harder the champ, the harder it is for riot to balance. Either its new akali, with 40% wr and yet high pickrate, or new azir, with both stats lower than ivern banrate+pickrate combined.

Compare Bard to Kayn for example: Bards Q = A ranged stun to double stun alternative a slow. Kayns Q = AOE dash with DMG + AOE DMG Bards W = A weak heal and speed boost, alternative charges up and is still a weak heal. Kayns W = An AOE slow with high DMG alternative an AOE knockup with decent DMG. Bards E = Makes a tunnel with he and teammates can go through walls with Kayns E = Can go through walls in whichever direction he wants + speed boost + heal Like wtf is that? Bards R = AOE Freeze which works on enemies and allies Kayns R = Kind of a blink where he disappears and heals and makes DMG.

While Bard is a ranged support that can help his team by healing them, providing tunnels and utilizing his ult, Kayn is a melee assassin/bruiser that sacrifices team utility to be more self sufficient and as such has more damage and sustain.

Actually... I would argue that Kalista is the most overloaded champion before her nerfs. And that Aphelios is following in those footsteps. After the nerfs, he's going to be difficult to play with in solo queue. Since he's a champ that a non-communicative team will have a hard time playing with.

I feel like this champ is made for those who have a natural knack for flexibility and adaptability. The skill ceiling for this champ is extremely high needing alot of "plan b" and contant aware of what you have, its basically a game of cards. If anything it is the king of mind games, but how can an enemy know what you are doing if YOU dont know what you are doing.

@@ChaosPrototypeIX To be honest im bronze, and I WIPE the floor with silvers and golds while playing him on top. My first 3 matches with him: WIN 19/1/7, LOSS 14/6/3, WIN 25/2/6. Just from the amount of damage and different weapons you can wipe the floor with low rank players. OFC it will take some time until people start to play him properly, but I would say that a 2 man premade team (with lets say similar skills like mine) could climb to Gold 1 while playing him and lets say a Nami. Thats almost 2 elos worth of ranks. Make it from the start with a gold 3 adc and gold 3 support and they have their way to plat 2 easily.

TheWeeaboo I played him for a good portion of the day yesterday, and he feels really good to play, although his damage is rather low compared to most ADCs. I don’t think that’s necessarily a problem, but it’s something Rito should look out for. But they showed a couple of outplay potential clips, and I doubt they had to dig around for those. He has some really really nifty moments where you can win tough fights with impressive positioning and skill use (and the right weapons)

How? It's genuinely not that hard. Your 5 guns work slightly differently, they all have their own Q (each of which is really easy to grasp), most of the Qs are affected by your offhand gun, your ult is affected by your main gun.

They released a higher detail post on his abilites but basically his Q and R level automatically at lvl 2 and 6 respectively. You instead put skillpoints into leveling stats (correct me if im wrong but i think you have a choice between AD, AS, and Armor Pen.) Your skills dont level and he doesnt have an E :)

For those who didnt get it : -He has 5 weapons , one off hand and on hand swap through the two with W -When one of the 2 weapons runs out of ammo , he gets another one instead of it -Each weapon has a different active and passive , you'll get used to it after 2 games or so -Instead of lvling up abilities , he gets stats instead : lethality/attack speed/AD -Ult is a wide skillshot that bursts into an AoE boom boom and then fires his weapons at the targets hit
