People gotta stop saying that it's a talent, it's okay if you want to say that, but it's probably just love for doing something and pure interest and putting hours into it because of that. I also don't have any musical education but I enjoy making music and I could do it for a full day because it's something nice to do while being alive

Sometimes you've got to love KZbin. I've been watching covers of Avril 14th and videos about how to play lap steel... this is the natural suggestion.

Pedal Steel is one of the coolest instruments in existence. I often think about how it is an untapped source of potential for music outside of country. You have achieved some great sounds in this video. Definitely subscribed

The Decembrists use it occasionally in their music, with a prominent example being in the track "The Hazards of Love Part 4 (The Drowned)". Their stuff is I'd class as progressive folk rock, but they're distinctly not country.

this is becoming one of my favourite videos. You have done such a good job of capturing the beauty of the song on the steel string.

this song always brings tears to my eyes. last two notes made them disappear as they were welling up and my throat was tightening. 5stars minus 2notes and the loss of nostalgia an beauty.
