I have to strongly disagree, this song is a perfect example of poor musical talent. He has one or two killer tracks, but symbolism and meaning is nothing if the song itself is a droning repetition of nothingness.

I must say this is great. Terrific music and video. I've just looked back over the hundreds of comments and every one is perfect in its own way. The love, the hate, the fear (same as hate), the angry responses and angrier counter responses. Having listened to Aphex Twin's music for many years (much to the annoyance of my long suffering wife) I realised that these emotions are what's made his music and videos unique and powerful. Unresolved dissonance of chords and notes, scale structures and rhythms that work against each other but ultimately conclude to perfection. Well done Ryan. I get it and others do too. To everyone else, keep the love and hate coming if that's what works for you and it'll all work out OK in the end. Peace.

From Richard's perspective, is a gesture of immense respect and openness- love that. Ryan is a smashing young lad who was given a golden ticket and stepped up to the challenge. Weirdly enough, this collaboration is a match made in heaven and pretty much sums up what Aphex Twin is all about, a personal experience which is unique to every individual. Massive respect to both!

Out of all Aphex Twin tracks from the last decade which focus on song complexity primarily, I think this is the best of them all. Manages to stay complex and absolutely brilliant while having a memorable progression and melody (many melodies actually, ALL memorable), without overstaying its welcome either. Richie's still got it.

This kid is really awesome. Sometimes I loose the faith about everything in my life cause I'm living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and a very hard Social Anxiety with panic attacks since 10 years ago... But Ryan dancing an Aphex Twin song and his AFX's mask have inspired me to move forward with my projects and leave these demons in my mind. Currently I study computer science at my almost 30 years old, after many years without studying anything because of my constant relapses due to my disorders. I grew up listening to Aphex Twin since I was a little kid of 10 years old, I just wanted to wake up and listen to IZ-US song in my headphones when I woke up while I was sunk in my solitude. My disorders never manifested but there they were, latent waiting to fuck my life, isolated, always in my own space. I remember enjoying that song with all my soul, and now, Richard and all of us who grew up with his music found Ryan... I think some of us can understand the magnitude of this little kid's spirit, and of course, Richard allowed him to direct his video. I will only say: Thanks Richard and Ryan, you made me feel happy and alive like a little 10 years old dreamer again...

To those who believe that this song is "amateur": In my limited experience of producing songs, electronic music is not about how "thick" your synth sounds. Some songs of the recent style have so many layers going on at the same frequencies, that the sound seems "flat". Sometimes a simpler ensemble of sounds can allow each sound to be heard clearly, which I believe is a characteristic of this track. Being generic or being unable to make "professional" sounding music is something you can't blame AFX of. I bet you would cringe if you listened to Goa trance from the 90s, but guess what; A style is a style.
