Everything about this video/music is so 90's to me. And I hate the fact that I was never exposed until NOW. It's like a nostalgia that never existed to me then. Crazy what some good art can do, take you back to a place you've never been.

@@beno526 My teenage years were rough and a dude from SLC with an FTP let me download a bunch of music. This song and the Tom Waits album probably did more to get me out of the downward spiral I was in and shaped my adult music preferences quite a bit. I love character-driven and often dark, depressing lyrics common in Tom Waits, Nick Cave and similar artists' lyrics. Or, I prefer ambient instrumental music with a lot of underlying mechanical complexity that somehow still induces emotions out of calloused me.

I'm 21 and I met a girl when I was 19. She's a few years older than me. She would like to get married and I don't think I'm ready for that yet. We decided to not talk until I worked out what I want. It's only been 2 days but the way not talking is making me feel makes me believe I do want to marry her. I still live with my parents and there's a great girl out there wanting to marry me, I could have my own home and family and life with her. I feel like I'm at a dawning of a maturity I've needed for a while now, and I keep listening to this song because it matches my feelings. Hopefully everything will work out.

If you do drugs right, you don't really need to do them that often. And a change of perspective, albeit more labourious, may be achieved by other means as well. Be wise with drugs. Don't do them to cheer you up. Rather, study philosophy, accept the miserable human condition. Embrace the reality unhindered by illusion. With yout feet firmly on the ground, pop a something now and then. But be master of your drug. The moment you feel it starts drsging you around, detach. Good luck.
