@@beno526 My teenage years were rough and a dude from SLC with an FTP let me download a bunch of music. This song and the Tom Waits album probably did more to get me out of the downward spiral I was in and shaped my adult music preferences quite a bit. I love character-driven and often dark, depressing lyrics common in Tom Waits, Nick Cave and similar artists' lyrics. Or, I prefer ambient instrumental music with a lot of underlying mechanical complexity that somehow still induces emotions out of calloused me.

I'm 21 and I met a girl when I was 19. She's a few years older than me. She would like to get married and I don't think I'm ready for that yet. We decided to not talk until I worked out what I want. It's only been 2 days but the way not talking is making me feel makes me believe I do want to marry her. the fact that you get girl and boy in the title and hear the softness of a woman in the strings and the coarseness of a boy in the drums is all that's needed to be said for song. Yin, yang, polar opposites intersecting, intertwining into one glorious sound. Maybe not yours, but this is my interpretation
