API 3124 vs. UA 610 Preamp Shootout for Kick Drum

What preamp is better for your kick drum's "out" position? The fast and aggressive transformer-based API 3124, or gritty and dark tube from the UA 610. Using a DW Collector's PurpleCore Maple as a sound source, I've set up a microphone outside the resonant head (un-ported). We'll switch back the playback through the different preamps to get you the best comparison possible. Great demo....I have the 6176 as well and all the lettering came off. I wrote UA and they sent me a new plate.....worth a shot!
