Pilatus Porter best aeroplane ever! Shortest take-off and landings ever and climbs like a fart out of a bath! Take 8 skydivers and I have done many, many jumps out of them. Salute!

The Bush Pilot life is some real flying. I would like to see more interaction with the villagers. It is part of the human condition not seen in a commercial aviation experience.

You might want to consider watching this video during the entire touchdown at around 7min,30seconds. watch for the left corner of the windshield. It looks like it will fall out soon. Check for stress cracks in the bulkhead where the landing gear attaches, but look inside at the bulkhead.

Interesting to watch.....so remote. Why do you wear your sunglasses on a cloudy day? Where do you go at the end of your work day, where do you live?
@APilotsHome2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! There is still a lot of glare in the cockpit from some of the clouds. With polarised glasses (though not ideal for flat screens) it also takes some of the reflections on the windscreen and it enhances contrast when you're flying in a cloudy day.
@dgibbsfl2 жыл бұрын
@@APilotsHome Thanks for your reply. It is really something to see the contrast between a modern day professional service that you provide and the mountainous (and beautiful) existence of the people in that remote region. The job you have is quite something. That type of flying is pure form to say the least. I think about weather and so many other factors that you have to deal with and it makes that type of flying even more something. The remote nature of it all is stunning. Do you get to take a break from the remoteness and have a cold beverage and relax somewhere sometimes? I would think that after a while you would need a break just to recharge and stay in touch with civilization.
@adhoc96472 жыл бұрын
Enjoyed seeing the unusual environment and flying experience. Very curious if flying in these tropical mountains is "off-limits" during monsoon season, and, if so, exactly what factors play the critical roles.
