Have met plenty of Jaanus though.. who live their lives out of duty and obligation, yet reliving their nostalgia to stay alive. All my respect to both Rams and Jaanus in the world. You are rare. The Ram narrative could seem captivating in a film. Putting yourself in Ram's position and leading such a life would be agonizing until the end of his days. Is your life worth living for others? Yes indeed, when you live as a family, but not when you are worlds apart. I still revisit my nostalgic memories, but won't be living in the past. That's my opinion..

At 05:11 jaanu is shown opening/closing a floppy disk. Perhaps a small reference to say Jaanu is narrating a story from her stored memory of what could have been. In the first flashback when Jaanu says what really happened when ram came to meet he..she is shown having a tiffen box. Great example of visual story telling.

Varsha is too young for him. She definitely has a young girl’s crush on him…that’s clear. But Janu and Ram had unfinished business…they needed this night for Ram to ever be able to possibly move on and let someone else in. Some loves are unfulfilled. But the love is still real. And they never knew whether the love they had for each other was mutual or if it was one sided…maybe that was the closure they needed. Because their love is real, he won’t want to blow up her life. And she won’t want him to remain unfulfilled forever. That is unconditional love. But they still needed this night just so that they could know the truth. But even if Ram does fall in love again, I hope it would be with a mature woman who is an equal and not a young girl who idolizes him…that would make him creepy. And his whole character is that even Menaka, Urvashi, and Rambha would be safe with him. 😂.

​@@lakshminair2374....can u imagine...this movie has bn around since 2018...I had made passing glances at the stills on youtube...and thought..oh . just another sob story abt a love that would nvr b but my daughter recently mentioning it..though she did several times before but failed to stir me bck then...but piqued my interest and lo....full movie not avlbl on youtube, SUNxt got to subscribe...so decided on just the 15 videos....on my...I still can't put a word to it....just too real...like the duo had let me in on this one night's journey ...just as u put it.. closure.. I totaly agree wth ur summation...I would hve said the same thing..though I wouldn't hve bn able to hve put it as beautifully as u hve.... We nd more movies that tap right into real life human experiences, emotions and the psyche... They will nvr fail to draw the audience... The late Raj Kapoor knew this... The filmmaker could very well explore a sequel....there are probable paths he could further takethis journey on....

I keep revisiting this scene every few months. This is an extraordinary scene where both characters deeply feel the pain when things could have been different. 7:22 - what could have been. The happiness in getting back to the true love. 7:37 - Trisha expressing that sort of regret feeling. She might have been happy with her family now but still the pain is there. 7:41 - Vijay Sethupathi did extraordinary acting here. He too deeply felt the pain. He did not bat the eye lid but it was close and it gets me Everytime. First time logging.. 6Jul24-recommended to a friend.
