Most other state people don't know where Mangalore is whereas they know where Karnataka is. So here it's suitable to mention Karnataka and you can write kudla's name in brackets. I've seen many Tuluvas opposing Karnataka and anything related to them. Hope you're not one of them. I respect Tulu identity and they want to have a Tulunadu (a different state altogether) but disrespecting Karnataka and Kannada is not good. And again in 3:18 he switches to Tabla with that simple accordion bit. Genius! You won't notice unless you intentionally play attention to the beats.
