people who are complaining that they aren't good: you do realize this was their first major performance? and the trace cyrus shit happened right before? they were probably nervous as hell. i've seen them in concert twice and they are better than this. stop judging a band based on one performance. If you youtube live performances you'll clearly see Lynn sounds better. You can hear how nervous lynn is so don't act like she's a bad singer. if you watch ANY video (besides this one) of her singing live you'll know that's not true so stop being so pretentious and stop yelling "autotune" every chance you get.

Was it just me or did most of the performances at this one sounding pretty garbage? Like not necessarily on the part of the bands' part but it was like they were all operating with an in experienced sound crew. Like the mixing was just off on every artist in that the guitarists were all turned down super low the drums sounded like they had some weird concert hall effect on them and the singer's voice was always the most clear but they still had this odd kind of muffled effect on them despite knowing from watching some of these bands live before this was even a thing and knowing for a fact that they shouldn't sound like they did. Hell, the clearest part of the performances were honestly the background vocals.

@Itsmethegirlurlookn46 жыл бұрын
Lydia Rugg [this is long so sorry xx] I just watched some couple-year-old footage from Paris, France and her voice and energy was much better than more recent shows ^_^ on key and killing it for the most part!! Her stamina is a bit low vocally but that's hard to learn. For ANY artist. To sing and move around at the same time is a CRAZY skill people don't realize. Lady Gaga trained on a treadmill for months to be able to do it. there's also a really good You and I stripped session by SPIN on KZbin. Her nerves get the better of her at the beginning of some songs... and even in the same year I've seen some performances be worse than others so I think its a warm up thing :) I've seen people mention how they don't practice much. Much more recently her health has suffered and her vocal chords likewise - though unrelated - and the shows have lacked in the spark they had. She even released an apology for it. Everyone just wants her to get better, take care of her health and her chords as well.. and come back whenever she's ready. I think she made the same mistake Hayley Williams did and just has been using the wrong technique thus ruining her voice quickly over the years. But it's fixable :) Hayley did it. Wetotally see that she's got poorer performances but we see the good and in between so we kinda can tell what's nerves and what's her vocals etc :) sometimes it's 100% the sound guys. You can usually tell that when they're playing with the ear pieces a lot or if they're flat the whole time: bc they can't hear themselves properly/ start on a wrong note. Very common for live performances. Even Tyler felt off here so I'm wondering if it had to do with the in-ears as well.. but maybe just nerves. This was more toward the beginning of their career and a HUGE performance. Not a little show on a small stage holding the crowds hands. A shame later in their career is when her voice started to fail her though... so golden performances that do her talents justice are rare. She needs to take time off... they toured for way too long.

...this was sort of a disappointment. I fell in love with Fire the first time I heard it, so I bought their whole album, and there honestly isn't a single song I didn't like. However, this performance changed that. The vocals sound completely different and almost nasally. I didn't think there was that much auto tune I'm their album, but if Lynn can't hit the notes properly on the one song they performed live, she clearly isn't that good of a singer. I was planning on seeing them at their next tour,but after watching that performance I don't think I'll waste any more money on this band.
@amberpiddington76709 жыл бұрын
please dont judge a band based on one performance. this was their first BIG performance, look up some other videos. lynn has an extremely powerful voice and is amazing live. theyre only a young group that's judt started off. if i were you, i'd give em a shot cause theyre damn amazing
@kayleejohn65449 жыл бұрын
+Amber Piddington listen hun I posted that comment 3 MONTHS AGO. Since then I actually did see them live and they just weren't that good. Based on your profile pic I'm guessing you're, what, 13? You've probably never even been to a live performance, right? I've seen legendary bands live (Foo Fighters, MCR, the Wombats, Green Day, Social Distortion, FOB, Fun., and countless others) and their live sound was *exactly* like their recordings. But PVRIS just didn't sound good. The leading guitar was off tune, the singer was throaty, and it just didn't even have close to the same sound quality that they had on their album. Too much autotune, if you ask me.
@amberpiddington76709 жыл бұрын
