he didnt write the drum parts for that alblum, chris karmada (drummer for there for tomorrow) did the album as a session before they hired the drummer they have now. so he is playing someon else's drum parts hence being a non official band memeber. just to answer your question about him not being out front in the media as much.

Anyone criticising Lynn’s performance... 1. She’s playing Guitar while singing, her vocals are very different to the pace of the music she’s playing, which is very hard to do, especially when focusing on playing and finding range and pitch. 2. The vocal range she had to reach is difficult. 3. Full music sets can be knackering! 4. It’s good to save your voice for future shows instead of going all out all the time. 5. Notice how her singing improves when she is only focusing on that by itself. 6. It’s not about perfection, it’s about enjoyment and having a good time!

Warped tour was really hard on musicians especially singers. Performing day after day in extremely hot weather, spending every night on the bus while on the road for about 10 hours between each stop. Plus there tends to be a lot of partying throughout the day. Also a huge chunk of their “downtime” is spent doing signings where they have to make 15 second small talk with each person followed by multiple interviews. Its enough to burnout any artist

I really love her vocals in studio, but her live voice is very inconsistent and her pronunciation (in all her live singing) is unclear. One moment, she's strong, the other moment, she's using falsetto on the same note because she knows that she can't replicate the same note without cracking. Usually that problem is caused by either nerves or strain.
