this is very very helpful!! Thanks so much! It is better if you provide the solution right after the question rather than link to other video

Hi Im dealing with NaCl soln where there is no output and the input is pure water for 10L/min. When Im doing the balance the output is zere and how do i do the input? Should I solve using the volumetric flowrate of the pure water? The question ask to do mole balance on NaCl. Thank you in advance!

It would be something like V * d(c_NaCl)/dt = q * (c_NaCl_in) - q * (c_NaCl) with q as volumetric flowrate and V as the volume. It comes from Accumulation = In - Out for the moles of NaCl. You would need to solve this differential equation for c_NaCl (outlet concentration) with a zero concentration input. You should have a non-zero initial condition for c_NaCl. The solution should be something like c_NaCl(t) = exp(-t*q/V) * c_NaCl_0 for your solution where c_NaCl_0 is the initial concentration.

Thanks for this video. How did you come up with 0.27 percent for yO2 in the end? if I added the moles of o2 in n and moles of o2 in n(.) and divide by the total volume, I got .30. But if I just did and average (.35+.21)/2, I got 0.28. I have an exam today...

I've heard that people typically come to KZbin to either be entertained or learn something. This is probably in the "learn something" category although I could work on the entertaining part more.
