I snuck out a few years ago and met with my best friend. We ran away together and watched the stars for hours. It was freezing but I was high on adrenaline. We laughed together on the grass and told stories while looking at the stars. They looked so beautiful. She walked me home and neither of us got caught by our parents. I’ve loved that night and I think about it almost everyday it was so magical. We always said we’d sneak out again and go back to that park but we never did. It’s been two years since she died and I never went near that park until recently. I went in the dead of night and sat there looking at the same stars we did all those years ago. It made me fantasie about a reality where me and him, got married and had children, but now our reality was much different. “Make love to me.” I spoke breathless biting my lip and gazing in his dark eyes. “I’m all yours.” He spoke picking me up from my feet. He carried me to the bed, awfully damaged and lied me down ever so gently. He tenderly traced his lips on my skin, and suddenly the horribleness of the room faded and turned into a 5 star hotel, and me and him were on our honeymoon. We had made love many times but now it felt different it felt like the last time. We made love to each other all night tenderly, always saying I love you. Morning came and so did the dreaded reality. I was no longer wrapped in his arms. I sobbed uncontrollably as I realised he was gone. This was our pact we couldn’t deal with watching the other die, so one of us had to leave. I screamed and cried manically. My skin smelled of him, I touched my lips and felt him. I heard it approaching. I breathed deeply and threw on my shirt and went outside. They were everywhere. I titled my head back with my eyes tightly shut and opened my arms. I surrendered for nothing else mattered they charged at me. “ROSIE!” I heard his voice and was taken back, relief washed over me, he grabbed my hand and we ran, like two lovers running away after their love was forbidden. “Helicopters Rosie they came to save us.” He spoke out of breath. “Really?”I cried in disbelief, we were still running. I placed my hand out and he took it. I lied on his chest. “ I love you forever.” I spoke looking in his eyes, as I planted a kiss on his lips. “I love you too, forever.” I lied my head back on his chest as he swayed me, his heart beat growing weaker, until I no longer heard anything. “James?” I looked at him. His eyes lifeless, pale, he looked at me hungrily. I threw myself in his arms, as he devoured me. I screamed first then I felt nothing. You say, “I love you” as they slowly help you squeeze the trigger. The bang is deafening, echoing in the room, and the remnants your world falls to the ground. Suddenly, you hear screeches erupting from outside. You’ve alarmed them. That’s okay, though. You were planning on joining your lover anyways. You raise the gun to your head, tears in your eyes. I just cried so much for the first time because of loneliness. then I opened youtube. I wanted to stop my crying, but it wasn't. my heart hurt more when I came here. I've been alone all my life. I have a personality type that keeps people away from myself. I'm very introverted. I've always been a person who lives in his own universe too much. I was left alone because I looked unattainable and they thought I was different. I have been struggling with my psychological problems for years and had a very, very difficult time. I was alone in all of them. I spent my youth like this and I haven't done anything in life and I have a huge zero. and I don't care anymore. all I care about is to love and be loved. I don't know what it's like to hold someone's hand. this hurts me. I want to go out and make friends, but at the same time I don't want to do this because I'm leaving my country. Being a third-world citizen is a difficult thing. It is even more difficult for someone like me to leave their language and country and try to make a life.

“Piece of shit doesn’t work,” I snarl. He shakes his head, taking the small device from me, and grabs the speaker. “Maybe it needs to be plugged into this,” he tells me calmly, his head bent over it. After a few seconds a soft tune fills the room. I vaguely recognise the song, though I know the singer. A deep voice echoes around me, and my smile returns, brightening my face considerably. He smiles back at me before striding to my side. A mischievous smirk is painted on his lips, and his eyes glint with emotion. His back bows, and his hand hovers next to my arm. “Care to dance, m’lady?” Laughter bubbles from my mouth, and I shake my head with mirth. “How could I turn you down?” I giggle, taking his rough hand into mine. He spins me around, barely catching me as I inevitably fall. He seems to be on a roll, spinning and dipping as if he’s done it his whole life. And maybe he has. I allow him to throw me around to his hearts galore, though, despite this, each move is gentle and precise, carrying the weight of his care. My mind forgets everything we’ve been through and allows me to live in the moment. He lets go of my hands, and backs away, his shoulders shaking with both laughter and dance. I follow his movements, shaking my hips and shoulders in turn. We do this for a while, both of us laughing and giggling, allowing the song to play on repeat, neither of us having the heart to turn down the only music we’d heard for months. He pulls me to him awhile after we’d slowed, his arms clasped around my waist, my own resting on his broad shoulders. We sway on the spot, both of us completely immersed in the rising tones of the song. The minutes turn into hours, lively bouncing turns into calm swaying, fear turns into warmth, and friendship turns into something more. I knew that loving a man such as him was a foolish mistake, though that did little to quell my need for him. Love came with its downfalls, weakening its victims, infecting them with a softness few could tolerate. It slowly kills you, poisoning your every cell. But in this moment, I don't care.
