Boss is not Naked Snake's actual mom, nor is she a love interest. Eva was a surrogate for Solid and Liquid (or Liqd if we speak the Solid Snake's language) which can kinda be weird if we consider that it is hard to differentiate if clones are closer to children or to brothers for the original. There was also Venom (punished) Snake who was not a real clone but a result of surgery to turn him into a body double.

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in the game you can find an explanation to bosses death explosions. Basically, there are bombs planted inside their bodies which are set to detonate when vital signs drop. This is done in order not to leave bodies and equipment for the enemy to study.

@@leonrussell9607 The Pain too. but it kind of makes sense, a bomb wouldn't disintegrate the body but it would blow it up to such small bits that they would either be irrecoverable by the technology of the time or you wouldn't be able to study them. With the tech from MGSV however, that's a different story

The end was the hardest boss fight for me I was small and stupid when I played it so I won somehow and the sorrow was the creepiest guy I have ever met in a game and which gave me a jumpscare which freaked me out

The Boss was supposed to kill Snake but she only broke his arm and threw him off a bridge which ofc in MGS world is something Snake can survive. When she finds him again with the horse, she again only hurts him, dissasembles his gun and tells him to leave instead of killing him. Then in the torture room when Ocelot jaggles his guns shooting at Snake, she realises which gun actually has the bullet and moves his arm so instead of killing Snake, it hits his eye. And you can see she is angry that she didn't deflect the gun better so it wouldn't hit Snake at all.

When talking about "classics" it's about the most well known games and it's mostly about games that actually would be playable today or are just games that had huge fanbase around them when they came out. For some Quake will be a classic for others in future maybe even Vanguard will be a classic.

Kojima had already reached his peak by Snake Eater, and only went down afterwards, starting with Guns of the Patriots which preceded Revengeance Man, Revengeance's story and writing is so fucking good though. It pisses me off how it took people nine years and the real world changing into what it predicted to realise that
