So within Judaism (which included those called Christians), the identity of the "uncut stone" of Nebuchadnezzar 's dream was a big issue (The Christians identified it as Christ.). But when Christians and Jews were finally separated, it was Rome that decided which of the two groups was the true Jew. Enlightening.
