I really love Defenders! Our familly owned a County 110 when we lived in West Africa. On the awefull intercity roads you just have to hit a cirtain speed and the car flouts over the surface with the long travel suspension dancing beneath you.

I love my defender 110, overland camper, was thinking of putting a BMW engine in, now I think I will stick with the Ford 2.4 transit engine, it goes well, and handles well, and am 6ft 1. I think there's only one good thing about this defender 110 and that's the twisted sign on the rear, Thank you for a great video Damien

Currently awaiting my own one with 4.8L V8 (NA) with 6 Speed auto, uprated brakes, suspension and anti roll bars etc.. Are used to work for Overfinch in the late 80s and 90s and also The noughties. We fitted 5 L, 5.7, 6.3 and finally a 6.8 all small block Chevys. The 5.7 litre could easily do 0 to 60 in seven seconds. He went all the way up to the 6.8 L it was doing sub five seconds. What I’m trying to say is it’s all been done before. Nice car though.

@@TheCarGuysTV no worries Try talking to someone like JE Engineering, 4x4 Fabrication or Wildcat Automotive. They all do big V8 engine conversions with at least 450bhp, some go up to 700bhp! JE Engineering were the first to do the 4.2 Supercharged Range Rover V8 engine conversion into a Defender, except that was bored and stroked to 4.7 so it made 475bhp and was mates to a 6 speed manual gearbox.
