To be fair, we can say that about any character in the game. Wolverine can kick the shit out of Dark Phoenix in PVP, but in the comics he ranges from fighting the Hulk to struggling against Captain America Though Apocalypse should definitely still be stronger for his Native T2 cost

My will and desire to play this game is at rock bottom these days. I was a 7 year veteran of the game, never missed a single login. But over the last few months I forgot to login one day and then it quickly snowballed into me logging in a few times over the course of a couple months. I'm a huge fan of War Machine and when he got his uni and t4 i decided to login in, put everything i had saved up into him, and see how much fun i could have with him. I couldn't even bring myself to finish upgrading him. I just got bored and never finished. I want to love the game, but im just tired and bored...

They give us USELESS x-tokens that are only good for 12 mutants, of which only 3 (Cyclops, Rogue and Storm) get good uniforms and slightly better than decent playability, while other 9 no one bothers to play. While the other more powerful x mutants (Psylocke, Colussus, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Goblin Queen, Hope, etc, etc.) are all pay wall.

They rely on the player base to fomo into buying uniforms every update. These tactics worked a few years ago when most of the player base was optimistic for the game. Now that we have an established meta. Each new uniform and character being released must meet a certain level of power. Every character doesn’t have to be a Sentry killer or Luna Snow. They need to be strong enough to be able to stand on their own in the meta especially if they are high cost and high investment characters.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm really annoyed at this point, with native tier 2 being garbage at tier 4. It takes a while to build them even more because they require a lot more resources, and our reward is a subpar performance. These are the characters that need to be the most powerful or really, really good compared to tier 1. I have been stacking t4 materials, because most of the new t4s aren't good. I'm using older characters because they're the ones that are getting the job done. They have time to create new ways of monetization, but you can't balance the game? Miss me with that. They're not listening. At this point, it feels like just cash grab

In cases like this, you would 100% need to use a well rolled Brilliant CTPJ plus 4x of the Energy Attack + Mind Damage OBs to really boost his damage to the best possible level. Otherwise just forget about building him cause he only has a consistent 100% All Attack boost from his skills and literally nothing else going for him

Since I skipped the old uniform, I have long waited for Apocalypse's(and the original horsemen's) new one. I see a lot of people who were hugely disappointed with this patch. That's really sucks and I don't really want to spend any money on Black Friday events either. In my opinion, native t2 characters should be designed to adapt PVP and PVE on both sides just like Deadpool, Thanos, Jane, and Wolverine. Players can determine whether both sides build or focus on PVP/PVE build by themselves.

It seems like it should be easy enough to make new characters - there are like 40 different “meta” characters that are best for an ABX or ABL day or are good in PvP. Making characters that don’t replace something in that meta (or sidegrades that clearly counter a popular PvP character) shouldn’t be rocket surgery. There are also variants in each of those (e.g. ones that do really well on auto play ABX, or ones that are easily accessible to new players). Giving Apoc a special mechanic where he has a huge advantage in the Jean boss fight, for example, would also work. With so much content to pick from and so many places to excel, not having even a niche use is a sad state for a new character.
