imho Apocalypse is one of the units they shouldn't be able to crush, especially having such mediocre armor.

Some units have natural counters; its not any more unfair that a sniper in an IFV can take out a desolator effortlessly. Also battlefortress trampling apoc is actually pretty uncommon in real games where you'd have the battle fortress loaded with GIs and the apocs in large formations. It's mostly the guns doing the work, not the crushing.

I have not played this game in a long time but i don't really remember a time i have ever used that crushing ability since a loaded bf sould use hit and run tactics and that crushing ability i think is just last ditch effort for when you need to counter an apoc quickly, it's like the allied version of terror drone.

You can also press "Alt" to force crush instead of telling the battle fortress to go behind the tank.

I never liked that it could crush an apoc. It doesn't make sense. It's supposed to be the biggest baddest tank, and size wise it is. Anyway, it's a thing that barely happens, as no one builds apocs in competitive games. And rhinos are too quick to be crushed.

No one tries to crush Rhinos with Battle Fortresses either. Battle Fortresses work by kiting the Rhinos while GGIs pick them off.

Battle Fortresses become much better when given passengers to tear through your enemies with 5 Guardian G.I.s will make them a force to be reckoned with against tanks, regular G.I.s or SEALs shred infantry and if you're willing to splurge fill them up with Chrono Legionnaires and delete enemy units with ease. Just don't get mind controlled and thrown into a Grinder.

It’s best to make sure the troops are elite before loading them into the battle fortress for best performance. My favorite combo is when I’m playing as yuri and I have allied tech vs yuri is to load one with 5 elite GI’s and a second with 4 elite guardians and a seal then use the psychic dominator on them so they can’t be mind controlled again then send them to the enemy yuri’s base and they will be helpless to stop it

The last time I played this, the BF don't crush the Apoc Tank, it's too big, the Rhinos do get crushed.

Apoc should have been like Tesla Trooper in this instance; be unable to be run over by Battle Fortress, but, like Battle Fortress, should have been able to run over lower tear tanks; except Battle Fortress and Master Mind.

I'm sure there are more in the list. A magnetron doesn't look like it but in the game concept art magnetrons are MCV sized and even take up 6 slots in Transports. Strangely, Slave Miners only take up 3 slots in transports - an oversight.

Th best BF load out is 3 GGI and 2 GI. GI kills the things GGIs suck against which are infantry and buildings. GI also do decent DPS against tanks since they use their deployed weapon inside BF. Anything else is worse overall or too expensive or both.

@@weeyangtoh6049 That's more expensive, costing $4600. It also does 0 damage to buildings. In high level play tanks are far more prevalent than infantry, so in head to head engagements a mix of GGI and GI are the best. You are better off getting a seal IFV.

I recently learned this but the best BF load out I've tried is 2 elite Boris, 2 elite Tesla troop, and 1 elite GGI. Literally crushes an entire army.

I think the Apoc shouldn't be crushable, it's simply too big. I love the BF thouugh, it's an excellent support unit. Not as fast as an IFV but better combat abilities. I use them filled with Guardian GI's as an air defense unit, and with 3 Guardians, a SEAL and a chrono legionnaire to support my battle group of Mirages and Prisms. The last two can, in sufficient numbers, handle almost any ground target, especially when the Prisms are Elite. The BF provides air defense, and additional capability against ground targets.

This can go so many different ways it's not even funny. The best combo I've found is two guardian GIs, a crono guy, a sniper/Virus, and a Navy SEAL/Yuri clone

For some reason I was thinking you couldn't run over elite units... but given that the BF is kind of its unique ability that may not apply or been intended to apply to veteran vehicles.... or I could be misremembering I do think its kind of silly you can run over the apocalypse tank. The BF has a chunk amount of health it would have been interesting to see its mounted infantry firing versus the rollover
