Nice to see this car back on road. Interesting fact is that 1976 was the final year for the sumo sized Chevrolet Caprice Classic and Impala. I grew up in the 1970s and that car is as big as the Love Boat. That car was built in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 by proud people from Scandinavia, Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, France 🇫🇷, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Eastern Europe. Also this car has the electric rear window defroster which was on cars sold in Canada. I know people who bought those cars used from Canada. One guy I know has a 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Classic coupe that is fully equipped.

I'm just three minutes in and not only have you just found the keys to this unique Impala, you've also found a new subscriber. Hey if someone here gives you any greif for using 'Derekisms' from that awesome revival channel to the south.... blow it/them off. All lingo has to start from some source, and I say again I think Derek would hold no animosity to peeps using some of his termiQuirkology. Now back to the show... Now you've backed out of the fallin'down shed/lean to and I see a family surrounding the site all anticipating seeing this car maybe for the first time. What a sight. And doubley so is the sight of that beautiful conifer forest behind you. Knowing how much has burned recently I had to check to see how old this video was and I'm not sure when the event occured but it's a recent upload. So I do hope this is an indication that the forestation I see is still green.

Everything you had to go through including shelling out the dough for this classic true barn find [young as it was at 19 years stowed] was worth every ounce of the tonnage [approx 2.175 tons] of this '76 Impala. Query: What are the dark blemishes caused by seen on the Captain's fender? Edit: p.s. ...those 'poverty caps' are the 'cherry on top' that just dresses this slab of rolling metal and rubber up in a way that without or with after market wheels could not match.

Our neghbor where I grew up bought a 74 Impala with a 400 Small Block I was 14 when they bought it. The window sticker was in the glove box $4400, power brakes, power, steering, manual windows, a/c. She sold it in the 90's a friend I went to school with bought it I think it still only had 32000 miles on it, my baby brother told the buyer I was the only one Mr Jaggers would let drive it before he passed, his widow would ask me to drive her places we drove usually never more than 100 miles but it drove nice.
