These videos are way...way...too short. This man has taught me about cars and figuring out basics by his humorous way of doing things. He makes understanding engines and its operational means easy and you also learn about the cars history at the same time. Wish my teachers had this unique way of teaching, and i would have gone into a different field of work. I dont know... I dont know. But once i had to fix my own vehicle i just did it and was "ill be dipped". Lol

Only half true. You can tell he's still got his personality in it, but has to watch some wording and not mention pretty much any brands by name. I'm sure he's said stuff that they had to delete or have him "reshoot" so it fit their format more properly. But for the most part, it's still Derek.

BOTH 1979 and 1980 had round or dual stack 4x6 headlights. The dual stack 4x6 headlights were an option in both years! It wasn't a late model thing for '79. 1979 was also the first year with no "bird bath" hood.

I'm betting that's more of a Motortrend thing of why he got new tires. Due to insurance, image and everything. It could look really bad on motor trend or upset Motortrend's insurance, if Derek drove on older dry rotted tires. Where on his YT channel he'd probably still kept the old tires and not worried about it.

Correction on the grille. It is a 79 however the 4 rectangular headlight grille was the upscale option. Both of these grilles carried on for 1979 and 1980.

Same thing on my 79 w300 I stuffed a 440 in it 4x4 with 4 speed. Same military green paint . Dash pad delete. Ohhh dodge wiring doesn't get hot lol don't you worry about the smoke leaks

Now you've got my attention. D-series trucks rule! I don't often watch your channel, but I will watch the rest of this series if there are more installments. Say, are those 16" or 16.5" wheels? The original Budd wheels that came with the vehicle were 16.5", but I guess they got changed out? It's getting a wee bit hard to find 16.5" tires, but it's worth the search because they are real truck wheels and tires.
