I grew up in Ashley, and used to play in the Huber Breaker (Blue Coal that you were able to see from I-81) when I was a kid...maybe a mile from Nanticoke (you can wiki Huber Breaker). Too bad they never got the funding to make it a historical site. I spent much of my childhood in the "Ashley Shops" where my Popop repaired the railroad cars when the Breaker was still in operation. That whole area was built on the coal industry, and many of the towns, including Nanticoke are named after Native American tribes. And btw...you get all kindsa pronunciations for "Barre"...Berry, Bar (as the video calls it), but most residents call it just plain "Bear" like the animal :) And, Lehman...I started my Penn State education there in '92 before heading to State College. Cheers :)

I've only been to a few of these kinds of places in my life, but when I was walking through them, I would just be barraged with impressions. Hard to describe, but maybe they were the fleeting thoughts, or feelings, emotions, or intentions of people who were there in the past. I would have an impression of someone going to do a task, or someone who was angry or upset by something that had happened there, or someone who was in a hurry. The impressions would last for only a second or two, not fully formed thoughts or images, just impressions. And definitely from other people's minds. Hard to explain, but this video reminded me of those experiences I had in the past, especially of when I went to New Mexico and visited Chaco Canyon. I know, not post apocolyptic or ruins of our century, but they were still ruins, and they were definitely full of impressions. Anyway, thank you for a very different, and very enjoyable video.

Props for leaving your camera on the narrow walk way knowing you have to go back for it. I went in places when I was younger, use to climb around buildings pulling in wire, I would not want to do it any more, to old. The old paper mill should be taken down, but the insurance for a controlled explosion would be more than a land owner could afford, the county or state would need to sanction it. Looked like some cutting charges would take it down pretty quick, but I know very little on it really. Thanks for another entertaining video, Sir; would have been funny if you heard a large animal scream at you guys when you were at the mill, lol.
