The greatest fighters of all times have always been those who can enter a clear state of mind when no emotions nor any other outer factor affects their minds. Combine that with science, chemicals and other stuff.....I'm not telling these stunts and fighting style can be pulled off in real situations, but scary to imagine the soldiers you can train this way.

If i remember correctly, the audio commentary clearly states that they never intended to copy anything from the Matrix movies. And i personally believe that they where able to create their very own martial-arts style for this masterpiece of a movie.

one of the things that I always found odd was the use of ammo in this film.... I mean, the Clerics were meant to be emotionless killing machines, so why are they so mindbogglingly flashy? they're using ammo like they can't run out of it. I'd have thought they'd be more efficient.

hehe, but you wouldn't. because its a) impractical and b) ridiculous he could have just turned around. its faster and doesn't leave him effectively motionless for a few moments. seriously, its as bad as that martial-arts thing where the combatant spins 360 degrees before kicking the person, or hacking at them with a sword. it leaves you completely open to counter-attack. that said, tis a movie, and I loved it. :P reality was suspended when I walked into the cinema.

yep, pulling a double headshot with dual pistols at targets 180 degrees from one another whilst simultaneously pulling a 360 degree backflip off of a motorcycle AND landing on his feet too. I mean thats just cool.....gotta say that the corridor fight scene was primarily an example that if you fight over-the-top enough, normal people can't react to you. I mean come on...who does a backflip with guns and actually kills someone?

Gun katar is really cool, its the modern martial art. I think if there was such a thing, then handguns could potentially be used in such a way as this film shows. Weapons become an extension of your body if they are trained with enough. Directed at Fataslin. Give it another 20-50 years. Im sure there will be a martial art with modern weapons. Soldiers nowadays learn how to jump to prone from running and fire during the same action, and by that I mean in mid-air if they're good enough. ^^

haha... What i meant was that this video that you uploaded is much better quality than what I watched. I mean sure it's not better than blu-ray but certainly better than the version i watched. In this video there is at least some depth in colors and variety, where as mine was quite pale.. Almost like an old 90's black and white style..

I think it's called Cubic in some parts of Europe. If you like action movies and haven't seen this one - go and buy or rent it!

i would have to agree with jakaput's unnecessary hairsplitting. i would not say this is a "song" but i would say that this is a piece of music, and a great one at that. the word "song" refers to singing. its the same as how lord of the rings is not "literature" because it is fantasy. (literature sucks IMO... screw Shakespeare)

Brilliant story, nice acting & directing. Christian Bale was amazing. Very overlooked film The decade 2000-2009 had so many underrated SCI-FI films - this one, Children of Men, Sunshine, Supernova, Mission to Mars, The Cell, Ultraviolet, Cube 2, Serenity, Signs, Hulk, Avatar (2004), Moon, Evolution, Pandorum, Push, A Sound of Thunder, Gamer, The Fountain, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, The 6th Day, The Box, The Fourth Kind, Cargo, Paycheck, Outlander, The Chronicles of Riddick etc
