So fabulous, I wasn't particularly an Epica fan and knew nothing of Apocalyptica, but I went to see them in Manchester to see what they were like, I was blown away when I heard Simone sing this song live, so much so I had to travel to Amsterdam soon afterwards to hear it again live. Simply amazing

Notice how they show THE OLD GUYS in the audience... I'm 66. I started with cello in the mid 60s. Pablo Casals and regular nights out to the symphony hall with the family were my inspiration. Now I'm a big fan of both these bands and of most folk, symphonic and doom metal especially. I fall burning and hazard trees in forest fires, drive extreme haul trucks at a gold mine, ride exotic Italian motorbikes and I'm taking up wingsuiting. Telling you kidos and listen to me now: Life is precious and life is short. Just having a body and walking upon this unlikely world itself is miraculous. Need not be reckless or ruthless, but focus, work hard, live your life with gusto, go all-out for your dreams and believe me, amazing things can happen. 😎

Jesus Christ, this one hit me hard. I've recently fully seperated from a ten year marriage, which was overall nearly a twenty year relationship... At 36, for the first time since high school, I navigate a path alone and from here I can't see where it goes. It's frightening, but once the D word was said and she meant it: I knew I had to let her go and accept her need to find her own path. I cannot control what becomes of her choices, but I will rise again and always love her for what we made before.
