Ive been using the Element 24 for many years now. About 9-12 months ago I decided to get another newer audio interface with the thought of replacing the Element, and ended up returning the new interface. Listening to the same songs , in the same room, with the same speakers, the sound just wasn't as full and clear like it was through the Element. Apogees conversion is top notch. I am still using the Element 24 to this day, and despite being old, and discontinued, it's still kickin. Highly recommend Apogee.

Same. I've had an Element 24 for about 7 years - it's been all over Australia including remote communities in the North of the country. It's never missed a beat.

Hey Chris! I own an Element 48, and even though it’s discontinued, it’s been working great for me, so I don’t feel the need to upgrade. I’m currently on macOS 12 (Monterey), but I’m unsure if my Element will work with the latest version of Sequoia since it’s no longer supported. Do you have any information about this?

Question for all: The Duo's setting for OS Volume Control works.. but the Quartet doesn't. Specifically, the actual volume coming out of the Quartet. The Visual feedback from the OS (Ventura 13.6.9) behaves normally.. but no change in actual volume or on the GUI of Control 2. Any guesses, or share experience?

on my mc M2 max - Sequioa Logic Pro 11.1 . The new update causes the Symphony Desktop to disconnect when starting up . HAve to unplug it and in again : ( . That was not the case with the former version

Eighteen months after I bought my Symphony 1 system, Apogee released the Symphony 2. And support for the S1 became, shall we say, patchy. Once bitten, twice shy: I now use a Lynx Aurora (n).

Thanks for posting, didn’t know about this release. Cool update, but I’m hesitant. I have owned a Symphony io since they were 1st released and also have symphony mkii io. In all the years I’ve had them the firmware update almost never has worked 1st try. It usually ends up being an hour of trouble shooting. I’d even try with different Macs and OS. A few times the update did not work at all and I had to send units in. I’ve never had any other piece of studio gear that I couldn’t update the firmware on.

@@nogoogleplus This had been my experience with the Symphony 1. Every time firmware had to be updated, I sent it back to the distributor…after having failed numerous times myself. The firmware was designed to be updated by lab-coated technicians, not by musicians. And the whole thing of having to have a spare Mac running OS10.8 (or setting up a dual-boot system) just so I could update the firmware on my S1. Absolutely ridiculous.

DO NOT update yet...I'm on a Mac M2 with Symph MKII and the Control 2 software put my Mac in a reboot loop, PITA and so far tech at Apogee is giving me the same advice that DOES NOT WORK...spent the entire day today uninstalling this crapware and going back to Symp MKII_8_30 which works.

As someone who’s never owned an apogee interface and was seriously considering purchasing one all of this update nonsense makes me wary. Have they not figured out their software update?

@@withRUfUS Recently updated the firmware on my Lynx Aurora (n)…downloaded the update file, clicked the button to update and a minute or so later, done. That’s how it should be.

Is the anyway to name you channels in control 2 software? I was able to do this in the old version.

They need to update the iOS apps. They don’t even work over USB-C now.

Absolutely train wreck of software for MKII owners...you will need to use the NEW software to UNINSTALL the new control 2 and go back to the legacy MKII_8_30 version in legacy drivers on their website...make sure your MKII is OFF when you uninstall it or it will crash your computer...been working with teck for 3 weeks now and it still does not work.

@@markpixley4009just figured it out. You have to start your computer in recovery mode, go into the dropdown menu and run the startup security utility, choose the less secure option that allows kernel extensions. My Symphony MkII finally showed up on a new Mac Studio with a thunderbolt 3 adapter. Hope this helps someone
