100%. So crazy to think of all the things that could have gone wrong. They tested the CM a bit, but what if the LM took off with bad timing or angle so they didn't have enough fuel to safely get back into orbit with the CM? They'd try to have the CM meet it, but can easily imagine it not working; it's hard enough to have a good launch from Cape Canaveral. Can imagine them looking across the void, drifting further and further apart above the moon. Can imagine Nixon meeting with the wives of Armstrong and Aldrin to thank them for their sacrifice, but there's no hope left, and Collins at least should come home. (Collins said that was his worst nightmare of what could have gone wrong). Like so much of this was unknown; it was a real possibility.

To be more exact, a 6 frames-per-second film camera mounted looking out the CMP window, and the LMP window. This video is interpolated to 24 frames per second, with the "missing" frames interpolated from the real frames to fill it in. The "blue triangle" is the reflection of the corner of the overhead light in the LM, reflecting off the inside of the LMP window.

Focus was set at infinity, this works until the object is pretty close, then you have to start changing the focus to keep up. Setting a large aperture to give lots of depth of field also helps.

That's the magic of Orbital Mechanics. They have calculations for that. And Accordingly timed the departure of the Ascent stage of LEM

The ascent of the LM was calculated beforehand: they knew how long it would take to get to the altitude of the CM, and in which direction to go. So all they had to do was leave at the correct time, and follow the programmed flight path. The LM had a radar on board. This was used before liftoff to find the CM overhead, and measure its orbit. In flight, the radar could be used to provide course corrections. Once the spacecraft were close enough to see each other, the astronauts could take over and maneuver the spacecraft for docking.

Supposedly the strobe light on the front of the LEM is flashing at a rate of once every second but the camera doesn't record it because it's recording at 6 fps. Does this make any sense to anyone out there? Why would NASA make it flash once per second? Wouldn't that waste a lot of battery power? And be overkill? And how could the light (Xenon) complete it's entire flash in less than a sixth of a second so as not to even show up on the 16mm film?

We found that there were a lot of problems that had to be solved before flying humans to Mars. To solve those problems, we built the ISS. Then there was the problem of money: a manned Mars mission makes Apollo (the most expensive engineering project in history) look cheap.

For one thing Mars is a lot further away. For another, it's a totally different era. Back then they were competing with Russia to do it first and there was more public interest. There's also the cost. Back then they didn't have all the satellites and telescopes and space stations to focus on. They spread the budget on all these projects. Sending people to Mars on a return trip is not feasible.

At 13:20 - 13:27 you can actually see the edge of the Moon ‘glitching’ behind the top-left corner of the LEM and then again at 13:40, same place but we’ll away from the LEM... can anyone explain why that would happen if this was in real Moon orbit, looks so much like an issue with screen projection... and what is going on at the top of the screen at 13:51 just before the clip stops and is that supposed to be the Earth❓also, no gas plumes from the RCS yet on every bit of footage of Shuttle, Dragon or any manoeuvring spacecraft in LEO you see it constantly... same fuel, same system ... this is so fake. Also, before anyone says it... I do not believe the Earth is flat. Please don’t throw insults, just answers... 👍🏻

It glitches because the guy behind the channel used interpolation to achieve a higher frame rate. As for the rcs, I think it could be the fact that's this was recorded at 6 fps, so maybe the rcs fired in between the frames

The reaction control system's plumes are almost invisible when they aren't directly contrasting something like the void of space, which they mostly aren't in this video. This was confirmed by Apollo 17 commander Gene Cernan, which playtested the Eagle Lander 3D back when he was still alive, and said that the docking sequence was almost accurate and the only inaccuracies were the sound/vibration of the engine during ascent and that the RCS had visible plumes, when in reality he didn't recall seeing them through the window. I also like the fact that in the comment you seem so confident that you found something big which can easily discredit the Apollo missions, when in reality it's the opposite, because you don't seem to know the first thing about the types of fuel used on spacecraft. Yes, they all use hypergolic fuels, but hypergolic isn't a fuel type, it's a category of fuels which can spontaneously be ignited. The Lunar Module used "Aerozine 50" which was basically a 50:50 mix of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine and hydrazine, with the other part of the combination that actually causes the reaction being nitrogen tetroxide. The Space Shuttle and Crew Dragon both use the same hypergolic combination however, and that combination is monomethylhydrazine and nitrogen tetroxide. Hope this explains it.

There really are a lot. There are thousands of scientists and engineers currently working in the aerospace industry, in various countries/agencies/companies, on modern Moon missions. To varying degrees, they base important aspects of their work on the accomplishments of Apollo. They've been operating for years under the assumption that it was all real - and - this is the kicker - they've been making important technical decisions based on that. Despite decades of intense study of the workings of Apollo, they appear to have somehow missed clear indications that it was all fake. And just a few days ago, NASA awarded contracts for the next gen lunar terrain vehicles for Artemis. Those companies are also basing aspects of their work on the accomplishments of Apollo, specifically the three rovers on Apollos 15-17, which were also unfortunately fake. The professors teaching orbital mechanics at Purdue, UC Boulder and other universities around the world should be alerted, since it's clear that they too have been wasting their time (their work also draws on achievements of the Apollo program). So yeah, that's a lot of people. Contact information will be easy to procure for all of those agencies and institutions. Hopefully they're ready to hear the truth.

Probably because it doesn’t look like everyone’s preconceived notion of what space and spaceflight is perceived to be in movies and tv shows. The reason it looks so fake is because since the moon has no atmosphere the surface looks much closer than they actually are. You can see this during the descent, thats why the Astronauts where landing retrograde to the moons rotation into Lunar sunrise, so that way the sun would be behind the craft, and they can use the Landers shadow to determine how far away they are from the surface, because all the craters look the same size.
