Apollo, Who Cares 1989 Re-Restored

This was a broadcast featuring two Balanchine ballets introduced and danced by Mikhail Baryshnikov. It has been re-restored and upscaled.
Apollo is music by Stravinsky and the ballet features Apollo with three muses, danced by Christine Dunham, Leslie Brown, and Stephanie Saland. The ballet was choreographed by Balanchine shortly after the music was composed by Stravisnky. This version is revised from the original.
Who cares has music by Gershwin, adapted by Hershey Kay. Dancers are in addition to Baryshnikov, Christine Dunham, Leslie Brown, and Deirdre Carberry. The ballet debuted in 1970 choreographed to 17 Gershwin Broadway songs selected by Balanchine.
