Apollo XP95/Discovery System Test 2

Here is system test 2. Today I will be testing the Apollo XP95 Optical and Heat detector. This system test is a pre recorded test as I recorded this a month or so ago.

Pre-alarm is when the detector's analogue reading is below the value that it would go into alarm. A normal analogue value is around 23 for detectors. A pre-alarm value is 45 and an alarm value is 55 (they are configurable). Basically, if the detector's analogue value is between 45 and 55 it will go into pre-alarm. So basically all you need to do is keep the hair dryer on a bit longer until it goes into fire. Hope this helps

I also got told that pre alarm can be turned off in the software too which I might have to figure out how to turn it off

@@j1firesystems440 Nice! The XP95 opticals activate the quickest as their analogue readings go up really high fast, up to 127 which is the maximum. If you can't find a way to disable pre-alarm, you can just change the pre-alarm analogue value to 1 lower than alarm, as there would be a very small difference between them.

Does the CFP alarmsense work with non-alarmsense call points and detectors?

The CFP alarmsense panel will only work with alarmsense devices such as alarmsense call points and detectors. Hope that helps :)
