I'm so glad I found this channel forever ago. I *hated* birds. *Especially* birds that talk. They scared me SO much. Like, I had a borderline phobia with the extent of my fear of birds that talk. Knowing how you train Apollo & seeing how Apollo does stuff has made me feel SO much more at ease & now I'm only slightly scared of certain ones. 😅 Also, Ophelia & Soleil has made me feel much less scared of small, colourful birds. I love how Ophelia is always the calm, sweet, uwu angel & Soleil is the chaos demon. It gives me life. Seeing their individual personalities & watching them has made me feel so much better. I just love watching everything Dalton & Tori do & I have loved it for a long time, but I have never spoke up. I'm just so appreciative. Birbs aren't scary anymore. 🥹

I think i girl birds have learned hands back means spin. Because they seem to do it more consistently when you make that movement. But also Spin is their only command with no visual cue. (Shake and push both having prevalent objects required)

I’m genuinely interested in his classification system. Can you either 1 give us list of around every item Apollo can confidently classify its material/shape/name so that i can figure out what characteristics fit into each group Or 2 put this system to the test by stretching the definitions. Some ideas I’ve thought of are using indium because i believe it’s a soft metal he can bite into and is non toxic, doing different liquids or liquid like substances to see what is “pour water”. Figure out what bug means besides small creature that wiggles. Is a rhino beetle a bug? A shrimp probably is but what about a lobster or crab. Perhaps heading to a geology convention and seeing which minerals are metal, glass, or rock. I understand this is asking a lot and i am going to bug you a bit about it, but not just because im annoying. I’ve owned a lot of animals and what I’ve always liked seeing is how they perceive the world. My tortoise enjoys pumpkin but doesn’t understand its food unless its broken open, but understands the colors at either end of the spectrum such as red, purple, and blue, mean food even if its not food shaped at all. That’s why no one in my house can wear nail polish. Anyways sorry for the essay, hope to see this idea in a video

Hey, I just wanted to say that your African Grey is really impressive! It’s amazing how much he can talk, and it’s clear that you spend a lot of time with him. He must be a really happy bird! I was wondering, have you ever thought about getting him a companion? African Greys are highly social in the wild, and having a fellow Grey around could make him even happier. I’ve read that even the most interactive owners can’t fully replace the bond that birds naturally have with their own kind. Just a thought - I know you guys really care about him, and that’s great to see!
