He threatened to murder her father if he tells anyone about him hiding there He didn't give a fuck if she knew he was a criminal hiding from the police, coming from the mafia family He came into her house disheveled and with armed bodyguards. He didn't come to speak to her or get to know her, he didn't even say hello. He came to convince her to marry him......he is looking at her like a piece of meat he wants. He made her an offer and it worked...... " Wedding was set up in two weeks bc she thought he was rich blew ".... sentence from the book perfectly captured in a movie by Coppola He never bothered to speak to her....there is not one registered conversation between them ( book or movie ) He never looked at her during wedding He never told his parents he met her, noone knew he got married He never told her about mafia war or that she was in danger being attached to him at that moment. Right before he met her Don Tomassino had warned him " Your enemies know that you are in Sicily ".... they found him. Everybody knew he was in Sicily, noone knew where. Village circus of their wedding during which Michael was completely detached is how they found him, how he put her danger and killed her. THAT IS THE POINT OF THE STORY.....reason she is dead. He deliberately put her in danger and he said nothing.... He didn't wish for her to get killed he is not evil character....he just didn't care In a book he admitted it. When he reunited with Kay he tells her " You are the only one I care about, only one I have affection for. I could have chased you, I could have conned you, I didn't wanna do that to you "...that is what he did to Apollonia because he didn't CARE He laughed at the idea that she wanted to be American wife He had a normal human reaction when he realized that human being blew up, from a bomb intended for him..... and than he just moved on as if she never existed

Do you think anyone cares about your conclusions? Stop writing it under every video related to them. In the film, it is clear that he was happier in Sicily, with Apollonia, when she died and he returned to the United States, he became angrier and more cold-blooded, the sparkle in his eyes went out. Only cruelty. He most likely returned Kay out of pity, or to forget his first wife, and he needed heirs. Or he was attached, he had known her before. They were together longer. Kay is not a suitable match for a man like him. If he loved Kay, he would not have looked at another woman, he would not have married anyone. In the film, he has a rather cold attitude towards her, he also hit her very hard, and a loving man would not allow himself to do this. That's all.

Not even mentioning her, not even saying her name let alone addressing her as his wife. So, what about Sicily? Lucky? Apollonia was a goldigger who married him for money Married married Apollonia bc he had to.....there was no sex before marriage in Sicily so to satisfy his desire he has to marry her. Or as Coppola said while commenting moment when Michael spoke to old Vitteli " This is NOT the prince speaking ".... Well duh Thunderbolt is not romantic feeling which is why her father ran into his Cafe when he realized that chick filled in all the right places was his daughter. Thunderbolt is eraction......

@@Blackpanthera-nh2yk Michael didn't cheat on Kay.... he married Apollonia bc he was certain he lost Kay forever. He didn't know when or if he was ever gonna see her again... He married Apollonia bc he had to.....since there was no sex before marriage in Sicily so to satisfy his desire, to have a woman he had to marry her. He didn't even tell his parents he met her, noone knew he got married. Tom Hagen told Kay " Michael will contact you".... after Michael got married. That js bc he knew marriage was not serious.

@@Blackpanthera-nh2yk Actually man can and should control his lust...... that was Vito's opinion. Vito hated behavior like that..... he found man who behaved that way not wordy to be called a man. But Michael didn't cheat Kay.... not ever. If there was ever a chance to be with her, he never cheated. He was in Sicily for 7 months and he didn't know she or if he would ever see her again..... After she left him he got diabetes aged over night stopped smoking drinking killing, never took the ring of his finger or touched another woman for the rest of his life. He kept her photos all over his house even after she married another man. What fucking movie are you watching

Michael deliberately put Apollonia in danger, killed her with the wedding and moved on as if she never existed..... movie ends without Fabricio being killed. Michael doesn't even have quilty conciences that he killed her

They were engaged to be married It was dangerous for her to get involved He did it bc he loved her and cared about her He brought Kay back into his life only after he made sure it was safe for,after he made plan to legitimize the business and execute all the families so no mafia war would ever happen again Tha and only than he went to New England to get Kay, only woman he loved with his heart and cared about He operated his face bc of Kay He stood the godfather to Connie's kid bc of Kay He killed all 4 families so no mafia war would ever happen again After his father gave him advice " Women and children can be careless men can not "...... he turned himself into a savage animal to protect Kay so what happened in Sicily wouldn't happen to a woman he actually loved " Kay, I did what I could to protect you from horrors of this word " He threatened sitting US Senator bc of Kay He killed his brother bc of Kay Apollonia died he came home and told Kay he loved her and cared about her Kay left he got diabetes, aged over night, stopped smoking drinking killing dressing like mafia, never took the ring of his finger or touched another woman for the rest of his life
