The advice doesn't sound right to me. When you break up (so non-mutual and it rarely is), you hurt them. You were at fault and have to regain their trust as a friend. If you leave it up to them, they'll remove themselves from you to protect themselves. If you want that friendship again, you have to do the work. Give them some space, but don't expect them to reach out to you.

You hit on some great points here. I always made sure to keep an attractive, wise female friend all the way through young adulthood so I could learn from her. I learned from my last one that there are distinct boundaries within relationships that are differentiated by activities that you simply don't do with friends. My buddy helped me troubleshoot a devastating breakup with her wisdom. I now know that if I wanted to progress things to the next level, I'd have to escalate by creating chemistry and turning things physical. Once that happens, we are no longer friends because there are certain things you don't do with your friends. We may be friendly later on, but the relationship outgrew the previous frame and is in a different place altogether. I say that because I would always get confused in my early years when partners would sidestep accountability for things not working out by claiming that the relationship involved friendship. My actual friend wisened me to how that's BS that people say because they don't want to feel guilty, offer explanation of be accountable. Great video.

Ahhh! These are great tips! I've definitely experienced all of the above throughout my years 😳. I think we get better as get wiser and figure out what we want. My boyfriend and I were friends for 5 years before we got serious but I always knew he was interested, it's just that I wasn't ready and had "friend zoned" him for years. Great video!!

I don't understand the term "more than friends." To me the only main difference between a good friendship and dating is physical intimacy. I don't understand why a good friendship can't have intimacy and evolve into a relationship, as though that is different from friendship. Intimacy should be extra, and the friendship should be the main thing. Unless one kiss suddenly changes everything forever, I don't see why you can't maintain and even solidify your friendship even if it has intimacy. Friendship is the key, not trying to be "more than friends," whatever the hell that means.

Very risky. We’ve been friends for 4.5 months and have been dating for 4 months after those friendship months. Bi-curious me started to date them. We all started both unsure. We both agreed to being in an open relationship. Pent up thoughts were unleashed after my recent hookup (since I used to go on hookups on guys when I was single). Tried to break up and tried to stay as friends but it would be hard for her to that. Afraid to see her go, I decided to accept being bf-gf but with no hookups. Currently in a mental health crisis since this is a drastic change for me, but since I don’t want to see her go so much, I decided to accept the new terms. I’m both happy yet constantly filled with depression and anxiety. Some part of me wished I was never bi-curious. But somehow it was bound to happen. There’s probably no point to when we can mutually agree on a break up anytime soon since she really has been, albeit secretly, envisioning the two of us as partners. But let’s see how this turns out. I’m willing to go under psychiatric meds just to stay sane while I can be with her.

Jump cuts are bad... Jump cuts with reframing are worse. I enjoyed the video so please don't take this wrong but some more time could've been spent in the production of it. It felt like I was watching someone talking to a smartphone and then stiching it together on the same device. That works for some content however you clearly have the talent that would benefit from being shot in a more streamline way. If you do have to stop filming or the camera gets knocked set it up somewhere different rather than trying to match a shot exactly. I could go on about this for hours but my point is it would be well worth putting effort into upping the percieved production value of the content
