You people at Apologia Studios know only bits and pieces of the Gospel. When God and His Son, Jesus Christ both, together, personally appeared to 14-year-old Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ, in responding to Joseph’s question, Which Church should I join? answered how He feels about the man-made churches in the world (there were three large Protestant denominations--Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian having Revivals in the Palmyra-Manchester area at that time. God and Christ appearing to Joseph Smith in 1820 had been planned long before. Joseph Smith was chosen by God to be the Prophet of the Restoration in the latter day. Jesus Christ only recognizes and accepts ONE Church on the earth, and that is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One other thing: Who does the Apologia Studio think wrote the Book of Mormon? I give you people a challenge: make up a book comparable to the Book of Mormon. You won’t even start on it because you know you will utterly fail. The Book of Mormon, being the Stick of Joseph the Prophet Ezekiel spoke about in Ezekiel 37 in the Old Testament, is the Companion to the Bible. Repent, Fellas. You can still go through the missionary lessons given by LDS missionaries.

It's a beautiful plan, Asmanda: The many ways that a man can sin are almost infinite. But God created this beautiful plan that provides a loop hole for all of the rules that he created: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and all of your sins are forgive. In other words, according to God's plan, there is really only one single sin: The failure to believe in Jesus. You can be the most moral person on the planet, and if you cannot believe in Jesus, you will go to hell. On the other hand, do whatever the hell you want and be the most reprehensible person on the planet but believe in Jesus, and you will go to heaven. I love God! I am a very evil person, but because I believe in Jesus, I know I will one day be with God in heaven.

And who are you? Try to think with this simple message for a second will you; What the co-founder of Microsoft says about the Mormons: An editorial on the Mormons: Paul Allen Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen along with Bill Gates wrote the following editorial in a newspaper in Santa Clarita, California, USA. USA: I've heard and seen enough! I've lived in the West all my life. Worked around them, they've worked for me and I've worked for them. When I was younger, I had a courtship with one of his members. When I got married, they came to my wedding. Now I have my own daughters and some of their boys are boyfriends with my daughters. I would feel privileged if one of them would become my son-in-law. I'm talking about the Mormons. They are some of the most honest and hard working people I've ever met. They are spiritual, probably more than most religious people I've encountered. They study the Bible and teach like no other Christian church does. They serve in their religion without getting paid in all possible positions. They are leaders, teachers, counselors, bishops or music directors and don't get a penny for the hours of dedication and work. Mormons have a secular ministry - a fact that is not general knowledge. I've heard many times messages from the pulpits of other religions speaking ill of them and they say they're not Christians, and they don't go to heaven. I recently decided to attend one of his religious services near my house to see for myself. What a surprise! What I heard and saw was just the opposite of what the religious ministers of the time told me. I found a very simple service, no fanfare. I found a town with great sense of humor and a well balanced spiritual side. There was no high volume music. Just a simple service, with several members giving themselves short speeches. They urge their young people to be morally clean and live a good life. They teach the Gospel of Christ by example. His Church is officially called ′′ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." When I read his ′′ Book of Mormon ′′ I was also surprised to find just the opposite of what I was told I would find. Do you know of any cult that has an unparalleled welfare system in this country? They have farms, canned factories and cattle ranches to help those in need. The Mormon Church has donated millions of dollars to help rebuild the Baptist churches that were set on fire a few years ago. Tons of medical supplies donated to earthquake affected countries. Do you know any cult that urges its members to abide by the law, pay their taxes, serve in the military if asked and be a good Christian, living high moral values? Did you know that hundreds of thousands of young Mormons get out of bed before school time to attend religious training classes? They are hired by the FBI, State Department and Police Department inside because they are reliable. They are taught not to drink or use drugs. They're in the Secret Service - they're the ones who protect the President. They serve in senior leadership positions of both parties in Congress and Senate and have been governors of several different states of Utah. They serve with distinction and honor. If you have Mormons living nearby, you'll probably find they're your best friends and neighbors. They are Christians who try to live what they preach. They're not perfect and they're the first to admit it. You'll be surprised too. When I moved here twenty-five years ago there were five Mormon chapels in Santa Clarita now there are fifteen. They gotta be doing something right. Paul Allen, Santa Clarita, California

Yes, true, and when Jeff was confronted about double predestination he did the same thing because Calvinists have no answer for it. Now, I'd be ok with a non answer, an IDK is perfectly fine when talking about this impossible to understand stuff, but he constantly deflects. "God predestined people to sin." "No, it's in their nature." "And who made their nature to be that of desiring sin?" "Well they chose to sin." "So they have freewill to choose good or evil?" "Let's look at this random bible story and walk through it for 10minutes instead of answering. See God used Joseph's situation for good despite his brothers intending evil." "But God had to know they were going to do that, so he predestined them to do it." "No, it was in their nature." "And who made their nature to be..."

@@repentorperish1386 Beloved feel free to clarify for me where i am in error concerning the calvinist systematic. God is perfect and Holy in all that he does, so yes God was just concerning Pharaoh. I assume you are aware of the term " judicial hardening". Where just like in the case of Pharaoh God strengthened the Jews in their preexisting disbelief to allow for the crucifixtion of Christ so that a new and better convenant would be offered to all men. God does not harden hearts to condemnation but rather to salvation. By hardening the already hardened heart of Pharaoh God was able to demonstrate to Pharaoh that he was greater than him and his Gods through the plagues (signs and wonders). So in reality Pharaoh was given more reason to come to faith by the hardening of his heart by God. You may then ask why Pharaoh didn't submit to God totally? Because like the heart surgeon God provides the means by which salvation is received but it is up to the patient to receive the procedure. The love of a Holy God does not allow him to become a spiritual rapist who forces salvation on us. He provides this gift and we choose to reject it or accept.😔🙏📖

If he preaches predetermination he does not preach God or God’s word... and if he does it is a misinterpretation of God’s word. Having a plan and giving prophecy of what He (God) sees because He is all knowing is much different than saying God has predetermined who will be saved or who goes to hell before anyone was born. God is no respecter of persons... to pick and choose who He wants to save is to be a respecter of persons. Sad... takes one bible verse to shut down this preacher
@Apol-los5 жыл бұрын
Very interesting. So how is God being "A Respecter of Persons" when He changes the mind of a rebellious human who has no desire to serve Him? Did Paul have a mental breakdown when he joined the Nazarene cult? It seems to me that he very much did enjoy his crusades for the House of Judah as he watched the clothes of those who stoned Stephen.

God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321; Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345; Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333). Faye Lewis hi Faye 😊🙏🏼 Actually the Bible says we were created in God’s image ..it’s pretty vague after that .......
@fayelewis54765 жыл бұрын
@@j.huffhumble4281 Having the “image” or “likeness” of God means, in the simplest terms, that we were made to resemble God. Adam did not resemble God in the sense of God’s having flesh and blood. Scripture says that “God is spirit” (John 4:24) and therefore exists without a body. However, Adam’s body did mirror the life of God insofar as it was created in perfect health and was not subject to death. The image of God (Latin: imago dei) refers to the immaterial part of humanity. It sets human beings apart from the animal world, fits them for the dominion God intended them to have over the earth (Genesis 1:28), and enables them to commune with their Maker. It is a likeness mentally, morally, and socially. Mentally, humanity was created as a rational, volitional agent. In other words, human beings can reason and choose. This is a reflection of God’s intellect and freedom. Anytime someone invents a machine, writes a book, paints a landscape, enjoys a symphony, calculates a sum, or names a pet, he or she is proclaiming the fact that we are made in God’s image. Morally, humanity was created in righteousness and perfect innocence, a reflection of God’s holiness. God saw all He had made (humanity included) and called it “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Our conscience or “moral compass” is a vestige of that original state. Whenever someone writes a law, recoils from evil, praises good behavior, or feels guilty, he or she is confirming the fact that we are made in God’s own image. Socially, humanity was created for fellowship. This reflects God's triune nature and His love. In Eden, humanity’s primary relationship was with God (Genesis 3:8 implies fellowship with God), and God made the first woman because “it is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). Every time someone marries, makes a friend, hugs a child, or attends church, he or she is demonstrating the fact that we are made in the likeness of God. Part of being made in God’s image is that Adam had the capacity to make free choices. God bless you.

My heart goes out to this man. Even genuine followers of Jesus argue this. There was a time in my walk with Jesus when I didn’t understand reformed theology. During that season, I was trying to reconcile things in my human mind that can’t be reconciled. It comes down to the fact that we can not argue with scripture says even when it doesn’t make sense in our finite minds. Untimely it comes down to faith and believing God’s word even if we don’t fully understand. Yes we have a will but yes God is sovereign. It’s tough. We all need to walk in the humility of God’s saving grace.

Mormonism teaches by grace MAN can ascend and become a god (lower case g). Not the same thing. That’s is the teaching of the serpent in the garden as he was beguiling Eve. Deuteronomy 18 teaches a prophet of God cannot miss on one single prophecy. There are many in Mormonism. Even claims of people living on the moon dressing like Quaker’s from Joseph Smith (not to mention he boasted about being better than Jesus at holding the church together in volume 6 of the church history) to people living on the sun by Brigham young. I spent many years in Mormonism and I thank God daily for opening my eyes.

jay kay I see it all the time with men like Jeff Durbin and James White. They’re over here in theological discussions with other believers saying one thing about Calvinism and then over here saying something completely different to those outside the faith. It’s bad when even the Mormons recognize it. Calvinists actually have to practically live out life as though they were Arminian or some other non-Calvinistic system because if they actually lived out Calvinism in the real world they would be labeled hyper-Calvinists. But, people continue to keep their heads in the sand in this issue. Calvinists are simply walking contradictions that fall on the “it’s a mystery” excuse as a crutch. Umm, no. There’s a reason why Calvinistic beliefs didn’t exist in the church at all until almost 400 years after Christ through a man (Augustine) highly influenced by Gnosticism and Stoicism. And then those teachings really didn’t really catch on until another 1,000+ years later by a man (John Calvin) who ignored how the original, orthodox Christians interpreted the Scriptures. That’s just objective historical FACTS. The handful of men (such as Gottschalk) in those 1,000 years who taught anything close to what Calvinism is today were rightly condemned as heretics.
@BK-yz7px5 жыл бұрын
jay kay You suddenly change the subject, and it’s not that important to you once confronted with facts. I see how that goes. And yes I evangelize often and don’t have to lie when I evangelize. My systematic theology matches my practical theology, unlike with Calvinism.
@BK-yz7px5 жыл бұрын
jay kay I made my comments because the Mormon is challenging Jeff in his Calvinism the same way Jeff is challenging the Mormon in his Mormonism. But like a typical Calvinist, Jeff has to control the conversation. Why doesn’t Jeff just deal with his beliefs, just like he does when discussing systematic theology with other believers. He says one thing there and a another when dealing with non-believers, often actually dodging and abandoning his belief system. James White, Al Mohler, and John Piper do this very same thing. If you can’t actually live out Calvinism and have to speak and live another way than how you really believe, that’s a problem. It’s dishonesty. I don’t know how you can’t see that. And you can sit there and say it doesn’t matter, but if Calvinism is not correct - as I thoroughly believe it isn’t based on actually being a Berean about the issue - then you have a bunch of Christians completely misrepresenting the character of God. It’s interesting how Calvinists will often start the fight with non-Calvinists, and when non-Calvinists push back the Calvinist suddenly starts accusing the non-Calvinist of making a big deal about it. Well, tell your fellow Calvinists to stop going out and attacking non-Calvinists. I only started digging into this issue when Calvinists were in my face telling me I was believing a false gospel. And I bet if you ask any outspoken non-Calvinist when they first got involved in the debate, it would be that a Calvinist challenged them first. And furthermore, the Calvinism vs. Arminianism dynamic is a false dichotomy. Arminianism is merely Reformed Calvinism because Arminius was a Calvinist and corrected what he thought were errors but came from a Calvinistic/Augustinian premise. Neither Calvinism nor Arminianism was taught amongst the original, orthodox Christians. Even the Lutherans, who came straight out of the same Reformation as the Calvinists, reject both Calvinism and Arminianism. All it takes is a little bit of research to see that Calvinism paints a false and unorthodox view of God and came straight from Gnostic and Stoic influences. And neither you or anyone is going to convince me to not speak up on what I believe is unbiblical.

My wife and father wanted it and because they wanted to do it and I love them and my son and I want to show him a unified family I didn't oppose it. The bible says to honor thy father and mother. @@solangesmusic.1877 thank you. Its been amazing. Once God really touches someone there is no way to deny him. And ever since then he has shown me nonstop that he is sovereign and extremely Gracious. We have a 6 month old son as of today. But ever since he was born and before then he has literally done so much to help us out and make sure we get through everything and are able to take care of him. Its been a struggle but every single time things have gotten hard he steps in and shows me that he's got this. And makes sure that we are ok. I needed a Good job. He gets me a Job at a place I've always wanted to work at. Were having issues with bills. Someone steps in and takes care of that bill. We need food. @@juliodelatorre3198 yeah I get it boss. There are some Christians who try to drill God's love into you you ( their intentions are mean well) it doesn't have the effect or outcome it's supposed to. The intention is to feel God's love on your own, since it's a personal relationship with God. I don't know you bro but care for where you will spend eternity. I too came from a sketch life where I grew up in church (even went to a Christian school) then when I was 18 I bounced out. Drank, partied and in the end I never felt 💯. After all the girls were gone and room was quiet I would feel like there was more than just what I thought this life was. So I started to go to to a church on my own that seemed aight lol. I thought, "let me see if there's really something to this." Bro It really helped me see what was missing. A few of my notes on verses quoted by Jeff in this exchange. Hope this is helpful to others following along. John, chapter 8 verse 34 "Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin" Deuteronomy 13 verses 1-5 "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'-which you have not known-'and let us serve them,' you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst." Deuteronomy 18 verses 20-22 "But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.' And if you say in your heart, 'How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?'-when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." John 14 verse 6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" 9:43 Isaiah 46 verse 10 (verse not stated) "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.'" 14:11 Psalm 90 verse 2 in the Old Testament of the Bible, reads as follows (in the New King James Version): "Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God." (This verse uses "אַתָּה אֵֽל" (atah El) translates to "You are God." "Elohim" is a Hebrew word commonly used in the Bible to refer to God, but it does not specifically appear in Psalm 90:2.) 19:15 John 17 verse 5 "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was." 21:03 Isaiah 42 verse 8 (Chapter and Verse not quoted) "I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images." 22:37 John chapter 1 verse 1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 33:44 Ecclesiastes 7 verse 29? (No chapter or verse quotes merely referenced later more specifically quoted at 41:51) "See, this alone I found, that God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes." 39:42 Romans Chapter 3 verse 23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." 43:06 (quote not cited could be either of the following two verses) 1 John 3 verse 20 "For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things." Psalm 147 verse 5 "Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite." Romans chapter 4 and James chapter 2 summary review of Abraham in relation to Jesus to the question on justification of faith by works. 46:50 Romans Chapter 3 Verse 20 "Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." 47:02 Romans 4 verse 5 "But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness." 48:34 Romans 4 verses 7-8 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin." 49:22 Genesis 15 verse 6 "And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness." 52:39 Reformed Doctrine of Predestination by Loraine Boettner 1:01:03 Genesis chapters 37-50 recommended on dealing with what god allows and how he uses it for good

The problem is that when you argue with a person that doesn't believe that the bible is the word of God is almost impossible to prove a point. For example; Me as a Christian, if I speak with a Muslim and the reference is the Quran, obviously I do not believe that the Quran is the word of God we will not agree. However, both me and my wife are Christians and we believe that the bible is the true word of God. Lots of times when we discuss the word of God and I have my personal opinion and in my mind I truly believe that I am right we pull out the bible and read what gospel (bible) has to say about the subject. We immediately understand who was right and who was wrong base on what Jesus Christ said. (Usually) people provide personal opinion base on whatever is more convenient to them instead of seeking what God has to say. That I believe is the main reason why the world is so messy and we are witnessing horrible things because everyone wants to do whatever without trying to be faithful to the moral standard that God asks us to follow for our own good. God bless you all.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Isaiah 45:7
@deanlockamy20874 жыл бұрын
The context of Isaiah 45:7 is God rewarding Israel for obedience and punishing Israel for disobedience. God pours out salvation and blessings on those whom He favors. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. “Woe to him who quarrels with his Master” (Isaiah 45:9). That is the person to whom God brings “evil” and “disaster.” So, rather than saying that God created “moral evil,” Isaiah 45:7 is presenting a common theme of Scripture - that God brings disaster on those who continue in hard-hearted rebellion against Him.
