Since becoming a senior I have missed the compliments that I took for granted in my younger days. (Yes, I know this sounds shallow. However, we seniors do often feel unseen.) Now, when I see a fellow senior woman who looks nice or has pretty silver hair, etc., I make it a point to stop & tell her how nice she looks or how pretty her hair is. And, she absolutely lights up! We often get into friendly conversation, too.

This makes me tear up, thank you so much for mentioning this. I reflect on such things often, as my grandparents are in their 90s and we know many seniors besides. I will take this to heart and be sure to speak up more often when someone is looking nice 💓

I’m glad you mentioned this. It is also the case that seniors often get less human touch, which is so important. Give the seniors in your lives lots of hugs and hand squeezes!

I try to compliment seniors about their outfit, color of jacket, their hair...I think we all like hearing these kind of things. I also try to compliment parents when I see especially well behaved children. I think they don't hear that enough - either the parents or the kids.

One day I was doing my food shopping last year , I had about $50 worth of groceries, I had let a woman who looked in a rush go ahead of me, she couldn’t thank me enough telling me she was having a very stressful day, I could tell she was frazzled, when it was my turn the woman who I insisted get ahead of me must have given the cashier enough money for my groceries, when it rang up I was getting my money out of my wallet when the cashier said the lady in front of you paid for your groceries, she was long gone I couldn’t even thank her

May 8th my son hit two deer about 8:45 PM. He is fine, truck is not as good. However, my son called me to let me know he was ok. He then said that talking to me helped to calm him down. We were about 45 miles away, but just talking to me helped him. God has been good for helping me have the right words. Thank you for sharing and caring.

I am a paper crafter and a couple years ago I began making little cards to hand out to say "thank you" or "you are special". I hand them out to grocery checkers, waitresses and drivers, etc. The responses are amazing. I also have a note on back letting people know they can keep the card to remind them how special they are or they can pass it forward to encourage someone else. Love this challenge. I appreciate you both!

Dawn and Diana every time I hear you say we didn’t have a lot growing up it makes me think, that was a blessing in disguise. Obviously your Mom and Dad gave you everything you needed. They must be so proud of you. I know you wouldn’t change your childhood. So what I’m trying to say is it all goes hand in hand. Just like decluttering, we declutter because we realize we don’t need STUFF to make us happy. Dianna bringing us closer to God. You girls have got the answer. God bless your parents for giving us you!!! We love you both!! Happy Mother’s Day to you and to your Mom.

Thank you for these words as I listen today. I was only recently introduced to your channel. I was able to take recyclables for my 94 yr old neighbor today and bring her trash can in from the curb… you would have thought I brought her flowers she was so grateful. Giving of ourselves blesses us as much as the recipient.

I have been disabled since I was 30 years old at 29 I got a disease called C. IDP at 30 I lost my vision and at 31 I was on dialysis. I now have a kidney transplant. Through all of this, my husband was literally my hero sitting in the corner of every ER visit. Or visiting me and bringing me little things from home that made my hospital stays better. When we would go on vacation? We like to go to the beach but walking on the beach. When you wear braces on your Legs from your feet up to your knees makes walking on the beach very hard! It is so funny because walking down the beach to a certain point that is nowhere near to the water. But far enough that I can enjoy. It is harder when you start out. The first time we went sitting there. I was so anxious about walking back, but going back was actually easier than when I started the first time walking down the beach. The theory that it's more challenging and looks further is very true when you don't feel great. Thank you for the encouraging video I couldn't have lived through any of this without Jesus !

I have to share the great experience I had today, which was totally inspired by you. As I walked into Hobby Lobby this morning, a young man stood by the door looking very sad. He politely asked me for some money. I told him I don't carry cash and asked him if he was hungry. He was, so I told him I would buy him a gift card. When I asked him which fast-food he liked best, he said, "Whichever one you like best." When I presented him with a card I said "God bless you". He smiled from ear to ear. He told me his name and asked me to pray for him. I assured him that I would. I wrote his name on the paper prayer ring I hang on my turn signal in my car. I prayed for him throughout the rest of the day and will continue to do so. I felt so good all day long. I would not have thought to offer a gift card had I not been a follower of your channel. Thank you for all that you do. You are really a gift!

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but those statistics aren't always accurate. In certain places in the world, crimes are not being handled, so even though they're happening and crime is greatly on the rise, it's not being recorded and therefore it looks like it's on the decline when it's actually on the rise.

On the flip side, where I live, the people just voted out a DA who was so compassionate to criminals that he wasn't prosecuting. It got really bad and the people in my very compassionate city realized it wasn't working. Sometimes, facing jail or an arrest is the rock bottom that someone needs to hit to turn their life around and he took that away. And he also took away locking up people who were victimizing others. Change is happening. Take heart. And vote!❤🗳

I do not see a reduction in crime or violence. This is something that we should be aware of and prepare for, but not to despair in our lives. It is incredibly hard when it is close to or it directly affects you; and we are called to pray and keep looking up. Jesus said that these things must happen but not to worry because He has already overcome the world. I love watching you both, and I am trying to serve in May and often afterward. I love your ideas and how sweet and helpful you both are. I have truly had my home and heart transformed by you both. This video felt wrong when you began quoting someone about the crime and violence decreasing. It felt as though you were being deceived and passing this information along. For others who are living in ever increasing crime and violence it might seem uninformed. They should know that our hope isn't found in this world. It is found in everything that Jesus promised and knowing that He is on the throne. God is in control. Hope in truth, while going through adversity is better than false hope. Jesus told us these things so that when they happened, we would know that He is God. This is just feedback that I felt I had to share. I am subscribed, and I will keep watching. You both are light and joy. ❤ I pray that this is received not as criticism, but with consideration 🙏.

As Christians we should always want to be serving people and blessing people because in doing so you’re doing it to Jesus. I wish more Christians would get involved in SOMETHING!

I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Bible study group! I can engage as much or as little depending on my life and busyness. A wonderful group of women and everyday I have an opportunity to feel encouraged or encourage others. Highly recommend it! ❤ also great video ladies 😉

Hello Sweet Sisters!!! You truly got me!!! 😂😅 I soo love this whole premise- “Living Hope” in our communities. Our contribution this month was gathering 2-feral male cats and had them neutered at our local Cattery. It felt so good to help these animals and get to know my sweet neighbor better!! 🤗🐾🐾❤

I honestly don’t understand why people object to click bait titles. Why wouldn’t you name the video something to make people want to check it out? Personally, I watch everything you post because you are so enjoyable to watch. 🙂

The objection is the channel creator is using lies to manipulate people into watching something they may not be interested in. Time is valuable and using lies to take people’s time is bad.

@@elizabethlangheim7214 I understand your point; however, I would never expect a creator to be responsible for how I manage my time. I stop watching videos when I lose interest. Plus, I consider time on KZbin to be recreational so I guess I don’t take the titles too seriously anyway. KZbin creators are building businesses, and the metrics and algorithms are a big part of that growth. They are providing me with free entertainment, so I just don’t get bothered by such.

@@lauramccollum5686 I like to manage my time too. That’s why I think clickbait sucks. I do enjoy quirky titles and funny titles. Don’t really care for titles that lie outright and to lie just for views seems weird and a compromise of values but it is done quite a bit on KZbin so I guess if you get rewarded with views then some people are okay with it. Some people like clickbait and some don’t. To each their own, I guess.

@@elizabethlangheim7214 ah, I totally had not focused on the fact that some click bait titles are essentially lies. Honesty is of utmost importance to me, and I had not made that connection. Thank you for sharing your perspective!

When my boys were young I opened my house (literally) and let the development kids in and they all got to play inside and outside. All was able to watch and to play. As they drew up they went their own ways but the memories are there
