Apoorva Gokhale: Raag Bhairav Bahar

Apoorva Gokhale of the Gwalior gharana was the first artiste to present her music at the FEA-curated LEGACY concert. She began her recital with a sparkling rendition of a traditional bandish in Raag Bhairav Bahar.
Apoorva was accompanied by Swapnil Bhise on tabla and Anant Joshi on harmonium. Tanpura and supporting vocals were provided by her students Soumya Ullal-Kantak and Amritha Shenoy-Kamath.

She sang such a complex Jod Raag like she is singing a raag with an easy chalan.. She is Outstanding! Her Chalan of Raag Bhairav Bahar is Brilliant.. The Vilambit in Jhoomra is so Rhythmically Balanced! Hats Off to her artistry.
