I collect portable rock art. You have no idea how far the rabbit hole one can go. People say it is paradolia, but it's not random, there is definitely structure to it.

I finally took a picture of my floor tile and printed it out in black and white and took to it with a pencil. You wouldn’t believe the stuff I’ve found. It’s become a relaxing past time to me. ;)

@@phillyrocks3847 Because you might end up assuming there are creators for things that don't have creators. That's why you don't ever start with "Looks created, therefore must be a creator" when examining these things. First you establish a creator/creation process, then you can call it creation.

Now I know what to call it..........I am 58, have done this as a child and continue to do this.....but not with everyday objects.......like with paneling, or tables and walls that are splotchy with color and lines.......my kitchen table comes to life with animals......I find this fascinating.

Without The Apophenia effect, Vincent van Gogh's painting Starry Night would look like blotches of pigment on a two-dimensional surface. In fact without The Apophenia effect, most art forms would be taken at face value and their expressive message would be lost.
