I think you have a great take on this. I personally only wear plain silver and stainless steel but this whole 'fake ice' trend / culture is something that has bothered me for a long time. It's such a toxic way of thinking calling cubic circonias and other rhinestones 'fake ice' when no one claimed them to be diamonds in the first place. Not everyone is going to be like Gunna walking around covered in diamonds and I think the sheer amount of people who are broken and insecure enough to feed into the toxicity is insane.

Yo, this might be weird advice but.. show up early to garage sales in rich areas. Lol. I've gotten Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Real Gold, Diamonds, TONS of real sterling siver, and some really dope unique rings that were probbaly custom made or dont get made anymore. Would highly recommend checking out Garage Sales and BE THERE FIRST, people do this for a living and will scout out every sale for all the good metals and diamonds right away, they like hawks. Beat the old people XD

You could “invest” in fast fashion jewelry like this that uses crystal and gold plated that really isn’t cheap and waste money. Or you could save up for a year or two, and go spend that money on actual diamond/gold jewelry that’ll be worth its weight and character over time. You get what you pay for. If you aren’t a rapper making $100k for a show, probably shouldn’t try and buy a replicated version of chains that cost more than your moms house. Be smart financially.
