Jesus was not wealthy, he did not take money from people in order to live a life of extravagant material things. What Jesus did have he shared with the poor. He was a simple man. So if this con artist is trying to say he is living his life as Jesus did, he is full of it. Jesus didn't have designer clothes or purchase high priced vehicles, or take money away from families with children in order to live as a millionare. This guy is a fraud and he assumes that his constituents are stupid people. It's pretty obvious by the stupid, unbelievable answers he gives such as not knowing the address of the residential property he lives or who the persons were that he claimed on his IRS 1040 or that he spends $30,000. on suits because he sweats, that he knows he can say stupid things like that and these people will believe him. I'm sure he gets off knowing he can say or do whatever he wants and won't be questioned. These people must be brainwashed or are that lonely or that in need of someone in their life who makes them believe they are needed by God or Jesus or some kind of Religious leader. You realize this quoted scripture on it's own doesn't provide enough defined context to say it necessarily applies here right? It doesn't define the reasons why said people were not actually acting towards the will of god and places the burden of knowing said will on every individual as though there is no disagreement about what said will is. Meaning that the quote doesn't flat out tell you that the people speaking of good works were intentionally disobeying the will of God which is where it would apply here. You could genuinely misunderstand Gods will and still fall into that category something that absolutely noone here believes about the apostle. This is why you shouldn't use religious scripture to contextualize a real world situation.
