Great stories! I wouldn't doubt them all being true. We grew up in a haunted house in Sperry, Ok. Growing up with it we just thought it was normal. I have encountered other ghosts in different situations. I have learned the dead won't hurt you, it's the living you need worry about. My folks always said it was bad luck to rock an empty rocking chair. I've also seen rocking chairs rock empty. Great stories brother Jared I know one thing you have a nack for telling stories like these. Best I’ve ever heard brother. Your voice and the stories blend in perfect. I wish you had more to tell. I’ll send you a couple I’ve seen myself and one of them my old coon huntin buddy would tell the same story word for word cause he was setting probably 10 feet from me and we both set and watched the same exact thing. My old best buddy is passed away has been for a long time now. Far as I remember i never heard him tell one plain lie. He was honest as he could be. I miss him he was probably 20+ years older than me but one of the best fellers I’ve ever had to privilege to be around. I’ll text you a couple stories later on how they happened to me personally.

Jared that was super spooky. I’ve never had a ghost encounter with hope I don’t but the best friend that I grew up with had some at the house. If they have then it was the old house he’d come up to my house on several occasions, wanting to spend the night cause he had a bad ghost encounter. He even had big scratches on his back one time when he came what’s up grabbed him and where the scratch is worse he couldn’t reach them if you wanted to. I always seem to be late to the party these days Jared! Mighty spooky stories! Much thanks to all who contributed them! I'll be traveling down highway 515, not too far from Talc Mine Road on Tuesday. My Goddaughter lives fairly near there too, but I'm visiting old friends In Franklin, NC next week. Very cool to hear some of the history of that area, even if it's a bit ghostly! To my knowledge, there are still five active witch covens in the mountains in North Georgia but at least four of them have their roots in the old Celtic ways, not scary stuff. The mountains here are ghostly, but as far as I know, quite safe witch-wise. And this is me overthinking probably, but I have to wonder if the Alabama witch story is true, right down to the finger placement! The reason I think that is that the old lady was buried. I'm wondering if she was what remained of twins that came together in the womb. I'll grant you, most babies like that wouldn't survive back then, but it would explain her appearance, the way she walked, and the hands even. One body giving off the scent of two would explain the animals' reactions. She probably contacted family that she was dying, so they quietly came and buried her. She had family because she was alive to begin with. Back then, she could have been kept hidden as a child, but not an adult, so she left so they could remain in peace. Improbable, but it is possible! I have a strange family history... My father's side all from above Carter Co Tennessee in the Smokies. My mum from Skye in Scotland, grew up in London(very posh, tea at 4p on the dot). My parents fell in luv at 1st sight, then they had to figure out how to understand each other, hehe. Frick & frack they are. I grew up in UK. Talk about different, but those summers in Appalachia were wonderful. That magical thing you have, Fireflies! So we stayed out after dark! This brought that all back, thanx so much mate! I will be sending a link to my sister, she will luv this as well. We Brits do luv a good ghost story. BBC does 'A Ghost Story for Christmas' every year, they are here on the utubes, check them out, I think you would enjoy.

I have seen things that I have never been able to explain. The stories of Witches around here have been going on longer than I can remember. I would not be surprised to learn that some people may be calling me a Witch. I'm an old woman who lives alone. I wear big straw hats and face masks when I am outside. I also wear long cuffed pants, long sleeves, and gloves when I am working in the yards (even in the hot Summer). Do I sound like a Witch? I'm not. What I am is an old woman trying to avoid skin cancer and control my allergies. Most of today's young adults HATE OLD PEOPLE. Because they hate me, I want them to stay away from me, and leave me (and mine) alone. Does that make me a Witch?

My mother passed away, and a few months later I was driving on the highway, I looked in my review mirror, my mother was in the back seat of my car❤❤ talking to me, and told me what to do, I would look back she wasn't there, I look in the mirror and she right there talking to me, I did what my mother said.🎉🎉
