I wish things today were like they were way back then. Like if someone needed help with anything because they were going through a really bad time, how people would do whatever they could to help. It's sad to say, but the majority of people aren't like that anymore in this day & time.

Our family stories down the ages have not been given the attention it needs. I want to be committed to getting stories from my family and put them together, and pass it on to my children and grandchildren. I remember a few of my grandparents, but much has been lost. Prayers to all you kinfolk gathered here tonight. What a blessing Jared and Lora have been to me.

Jared. I do enjoy the kinfolk mail and jawing with my Appalachian Family But what I enjoy the most is the storytelling. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I can close my eyes and just imagine that area. Thank you for sharing and that you are the one who tells these stories. I also want to say Thank you to those who sends the stories by email. @@keithusace4352 I live with two Vietnam Vets, my dad was a WWII vet and papaw was in WWI. I adored my dad and was an only child so it was up to me to carry on a tradition that started in 1655 with a Virginia militia. But the only thing I shot was targets at the range to qualify. I hesitate to post much more about my duties publicly but if you ever want to chat I will put my email address here and give out contact info there. Evening to all the kinfolk here from Los Angeles Ca. Sorry for missing this week's prayer meetin and all but I was working away until late....My employer is helping provide security to the burned out areas. So, I like to help out with that. And I want to set aside some money for another visit to my young lady and her family back in Kentucky. Brother Jared.....Thank you for this video. Like a few people here it touched my heart.....Made me smile and all that. The banjo music at the start....My fingers just started tapping away on the arm of my recliner.

The elders in my family are from New Jersey, and the poorest part there was. There were 6 children on my mom's side, and they did it all in a 2 bedroom apartment in the brownstone buildings. No stories, just old italian family secrets that was NEVER any of our business because we were young. My dad lived in her building and had the same situation, 6 children 2 adults in a 2 bedroom apartment. We were happy, don't get me wrong. All of the stories and history of our family went to the grave with them. I always to this day wonder what could've been so bad, on both sides of my family that would cause this. I love these stories because it make me feel like I'm part of this family, every episode! Never fails. Please don't stop doing all your great work Jared and Lora🎉 Please share his and Queen Loras Chanel to all your friends. I've always longed for these stories about my family, but I'm glad now I didn't hear them. I can listen to their wonderful voices and stories of days gone by. I have to say, as an Italian family, we were taught to respect our elders from a young age. We opened doors for them and helped with errands. But instead of them saying"You sassin me girl?" We'd hear "Are you back talking me girl?" Anyway, I was born in Caliwonderful. 1969 and my mom and dad's side both moved here at the same time, around 1967. The best thing about that is my mom and dad's family were very very close, one big happy family. Family holidays were not split, we did it together as one big happy family. It was all I knew. Needless to say, when I married at 30 years old I naturally assumed my husband and my family would be the same. That was furthest from the truth! They hate each other. That's when I realized, secrets or not, what I shared with my family growing up was truly unique and amazing, wouldn't have had it any other way❤
