Your videos are bringing back great memories, I did this section from Springer to Albert Mountain 3 years ago with 4 students from Teen Challenge. The views are much nicer than in June when we were in the green tunnel.

ER, thanks for your note. Thought I was all set for Springer 1/31; had my flights and shuttle booked. After several 10-mile hikes, my left achilles was barking at me; a chronic issue that goes back to a rupture 10 years ago. Was in therapy when I dropped a coke can (not cherry) on my left big toe, which triggered a gout flareup. Been in a boot for a month, taking colchicine, hopefully able to train in about a week. Need Feb/March to fine tune cardio. Plan now is to go to Boston 4/14 to watch my son run the Boston marathon, then go directly to Harpers Ferry to start 4/17 NOBO. btw, I notice most hikers this year have a "ER muscle roller" in kit; see, your message took!! (I`ll have mine, been using one for years). Take care, ER. IceagerRB

Seems like Daniels hasn't changed a bit - it was good then too! I spent more than 25 years as a scout leader here in Canada, and attended 2 Canadian Jamborees as well as 2 American ones held at A.P. Hill. I tried looking at your council patch in the intro, but couldn't make it out. Patch trading was a big thing in those days... Wishing you much luck and good fortune! I’m from South Bend, ND is a fabulous school but I’m telling you - unless you get a full ride scholarship- it isn’t worth the price tag. You can get a degree at ANY school the price of 4 years is like one year at ND. Over 65k per year... yikes. Good luck with your trail. Happy hiking.
