Yeah, regardless of whether you got those items from sponsorships or partnerships, the way you went about giving them away by asking what they're not happy with - and then you had that item appear - that was cool.

Planing trips to hiker box would be cool too. I ve heard of many struggling hikers find exactly what they need others discarded. I did a section hike on the AT, Asheville area to Harpers Ferry. I dont have time to do it all in one go. I used a Nemo Hornet 2 person tent, pair of black diamond treking poles, had a spare ultra light rainfly you could put up between the poles, I hiked with a big agnes camp chair cause I like a dry place to sit, raincoat, sunshirt, hat, toakes 750ml, jetboil, found a french press atachment that fits with the toakes to make coffee, started with a sawyer and loathed how long it took and switched to a pump system half way through, Klymit sleeping pad which popped halfway and I switched out for a Big Agnes. Was fun, got to enjoy 28 days on the trail.

A dozen Fit Crunch protein bars. wool flannel( I always hike in the late Autumn/early Winter). Li-ion batteries(I've left hordes of alkaline batteries throughout the trail during the nineties). Glow-sticks(plenty of them, too, scattered throughout the trail). Fifty-feet of climbing rope. Trauma kit. Few MRE's. Lots of fishing tackle. Synthetic-fill sleeping bag. No tent. Rain tarp. Camouflage toilet paper. Rain gear. Insulated jacket. Extra boots. Cycling shorts(feel good). Softshell pants. And a box of condoms(sometimes, ya do get lucky on the trail).

Crazy how popular Durston tents have gotten. I leisurely shopped around for a 'cheap' tent in 2020, took my time, settled on the X-Mid 1P. Tried it out and told a friend "I'm surprised how good this tent is for the price, you should get one." He bought one in the Spring 2021 batch but it was crazy how many people were scrambling to buy when it went live. Majority of people couldn't -- the popularity of the tents exploded within a single season and it was nothing like my leisurely shopping experience less than a year prior.
