My husband is hiking the AT he decided to get off today to go back to Arkansas and help in his community, he’s a tree arborist, our town got a lot of damage from the tornadoes and straight line winds. He met Arkansas hiker along the trail . He hopes to get back to the trail

Thanks for the “Shout Out” Ramdino! We were happy to give Nickels a hand. I wish I could have hiked in the meds to him, but I had my little grandson with me that day. God provides and the bag with his meds were delivered to Nickels by another hiker within a half hour after I dropped it off with the note on it. Thank you to Rooted for the encouraging words. I made it to mile 423 when I suffered a stress fracture to the cuboid bone in my left foot. I have now been off trail longer than I was on trail. I am praying for full healing and returning to the trail in late June, at the latest.

Ramdino!!! you da' man!! Mama's feet finally felt better so we made it out to hike the craggy pinnacle. IT WAS AWSOME. We packed a lunch of mater sandwiches, Moonpies and some Cheerwine to drink as well. The scenery was spectacalar, gotta git back there in the fall when the leaves start to change. Keep doin' what you do best, broadcasting live from the trails !!

We have seen 18 hikers over the last 2 weeks in Dalton Ma area! Caught "Easily Forgotten " who started at Katahdin, last fall, with a picture of himself at the base, on trail, standing chest deep in water! He went to Springer mt. ,turned around and is going back to Katahdin!, but not before at the Maine Junction, he's doing the rest of the Long Trail, come back, and continue north on the A.T! 😊 BACON WRAP @ the "Ottada Way Cafe " p.s. on the Vermont border, 3 young Amish men,, Hiking from Pennsylvania to Katahdin! Got burgers and cold drinks! They also met Fresh Ground! 😊

Depends on who you talk to - most of the locals pronounce it “Bwena Vista,” but there are some who say “Boona Vista”. Given the hispanic origin of the name (“Good View” in Spanish), “Bwena” is the most correct version.

Locals pronounce it “Bewna Vista”, as in Puny Bueny. Lived there for 20 years 🤣. Country pronunciation of the Spanish Buena Vista 👍

That is a common action by a black bear that is feeling nervous. I can't remember the exact term at the moment, but smacking the ground is trying to tell you to please back off. That bear was very agitated, I was surprised he didn't follow up with a bluff charge.

Just and FYI We live in a Constitutional Republic not a democracy. In fact there is no mention of the word democracy in our constitution because our forefathers knew that democracies always devolve into autocratic dictatorships. That is why after the signing of the constitution Benjamin Franklin declared “ A Republic ma’am, if you can keep it” to a woman on the street who asked him “Sir, what have you given us?”.

As far as Sadie, Has the owner actually checked into her house? A friend of mine moved out of his house and moved at least 100 -150 miles away and the cat ran away, well it went to the other house. The new owners called him and said his kitty was there.

Lordy, your video is 40 minutes, other hikers we watch have gone to 40 + minutes...... we would be glued to the video's all day if we didn't go fast forward. Clearly we are missing a lot of information but there's not enough time in the day to watch all these long video's. Thank You for what you do, just my 2 cents.

@@Berry_N Ramdino’s videos are fine - if anything, sometimes shorter than they could be. I’m talking about the hiker videos - 30 or 40 minutes of ditty-bopping down the trail with no significant content, and you’ve lost me. The hikers I truly enjoy following have nice concise videos that typically range 6-8 minutes - /sometimes/ 10-12, but the norm being the shorter end. I also find it a little painful to watch when folks struggle to put out content on a totally uneventful day just because they feel the need to do a daily post. Those also tend to lose my interest. There’s no novelty to 10+ minutes of “b-roll” anymore - 5 years ago, sure - I watched every minute of it, but 5 years on, it’s old-hat and uninteresting. Sure - give me the close-up of the beautiful bloom - but give it 2-5 /seconds/ - not 2-5 /minutes/!! And again - I’m not telling anyone what to watch or not watch - I’m just saying what works and doesn’t work for /me/.
