I'm not sure what you mean by "getting over" being introverted. There's nothing wrong with being an introvert! I'm the happiest I've ever been since I embraced being an introvert.

I agree 100%! To be fair, sometimes it takes awhile to through off the stigma introversion still has. I'm 56, but wasn't totally comfortable with being an introvert until I reached 40.

Yes. Introverted doesn’t necessarily mean shy or backwards. It more often involves just being more of a deep thinker. We ponder for hours to talk for minutes.

Glad you are happy with who you are. Part of being introverted is getting exhausted by interacting and socializing with larger groups and strangers. You can come across as being a loner or standoffish but we are who we are. There certainly isn’t anything “wrong” about it. People are inherently social creatures that want to belong and it just isn’t as easy for introverts to interact in some situations.

@@bahamajim1998 yeah I'd say there is a better term than introvert. As one I am horrified at the prospect of showing my face to 28k subscribers and all that comes with youtube, editing and broadcasting myself as well as self promotion. I like the company of others but I dont need it.

Hey Frozen, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your videos! I've been watching for quite awhile and they're always great! Good luck out on the AT and go have the time of your life. Also, I wanted to add that my father who is 77 years old and has advanced prostate cancer really likes your vids of hiking in north central PA, it takes him back to the time when we lived around there and allows him to enjoy the area again. Thank you again for your channel and posts.

Your vids helped inspire me to thru hike the A.T. last year, and getting to watch you do it makes me happy! But dude, save that dough and get comfortable hitching...it will save ya almost a thousand bucks, and you'll meet some really kind-hearted people. Also, no one's gonna love ya any less if you have to stop responding to comments so as to enjoy your hike more...but your dedication to your subscribers is admirable, and not lost on us! Personally, I didn't LOVE the vibe of the staff at TOG hostel, but Im glad ya had a nice time. And lastly, you're an experienced hiker who already has his trail legs...so you're not doin anything wrong by himing the amount of miles you're hiking. Love ya bro, keep having fun out there, and enjoy Franklin (I highly suggest staying at Gooder Grove Hostel...and dont miss the free pancakes and bacon that the church does for hikers)!!

it's a real pleasure to see how excited and joyed (is that a word) you are on the trail. don't sweat the social media stuff, i think everyone understands you're doing a thru hike and might not be as available as usual. it's also nice to see you overcoming some of those hurdles... like shelters, and town visits. understandable iffy not having done them.... but you seem to be doing what you need to do to ensure a good hike. best of luck and safe travels

I started following AT (and other) thru hikers last year. Your channel is in the top tier. It's fun getting home after work and tuning in to the next episode as if turning on a golf or baseball game. Though each hike/game is the same, it's so interesting to watch how one unfolds compared to another. For instance, which sections of the trail are filmed depending on the hiker. Differences in commentary, interactions with others, how each hiker deals with adversity, etc. Each thru hike is like putting the same puzzle together in a different way. But make sure to soak in the moment from time to time and put everything else aside because you'll be in Maine before you know it. NRN (No reply necessary.) Safe travels!

Been following you for years. Great job so far on the trail. I think a lot of viewers would be interested in the following info: Days since you started, Day/Date of the week you are filming, weather conditions, where you leaving from and going to, mileage for the day and info like that. As a backpacker getting ready to try this thru-hike in a couple of years, that information is important and fun to follow how you compared to other hikers are doing (not a competition, but a comparison reference). Thanks again for the videos, stay safe and enjoy.
