Gosh, I wish I was on your list! :) That was fabulous! Thank you for the good photography. I could see everything, even your hands weren't an issue. The image was really nice, and the carving very very nice. I wondered how long it took just to carve. That was a lot of removal, one speck at a time... I love the press too! Again, fabulous. A+ all the way. Thank you so much for sharing. What an enjoyable six minutes and thirty eight seconds. Yay!

Gorgeous work! I don't usually have the patience to watch videos without commentary, b your process and design are just so wonderful I was absolutely glued to the screen! I've recently bought linocut materials after a longing to try it again after dabbling in the craft during art lessons some years ago in secondary school. I think I might have to make some little magpie stamps myself- they are one of my favourite animals and such a great subject matter for linocut. Thank you so much for uploading! :)

I'm the same. Interested in giving it a try just because I have never. Trying to locate good blades without spending a fortune on a temporary fad.

I was unable to find the linocut tools. If I use sculpting tools that resemble the ones you used, would it have the same outcome?

Why would you bother to sculpt all the edges away from the lino, just to trim it all off at the end?
@tristisfaba8 жыл бұрын
Angie Barr that's because he wanted the bird to be black and the background to be white. whatever they take out, is what is white and what is still on the block is what would be black
@tristisfaba8 жыл бұрын
Well not black, whatever colour ink you're using, it'd be that colour
@AngelaJeanBarr8 жыл бұрын
That still doesn't explain why.

Probably he wanted to make absolutely sure there were no bits left that would be colored, but I find that rather charming.
