Don’t mention my name is a track from the b-side of a 7” EP (a-side is a Dylan bootleg) from 1984 by the Dutch (Lochem) composer / rhythm guitarist / lead singer Appie Daalmeijer (lyrics by Alex Stern), who previously played in ‘David Copperfield Style’. Between 1967 and 1976, this band performed and recorded under various names, e.g. ‘David Copperfield’, ‘Copper Field’, ‘Copperfield’, ‘The fruit of Mr. H. Hickory’, ‘Oregon’, ‘Steven Stardust’, ‘Thin Horse’ and ‘Paula Lincoln’. Daalmeijer later formed ‘Dahl Myer’, ‘The Valentino’s’ and in 1981 ‘Ides of May’, in which he played until he passed away in 2017.
