I have known Sade since she was a young woman aged 16 yrs my older brother and Sade dated. we all used to rave at the only club in Soho called “ Crackers “ during-the week days that played underground Muzik..in fact it was the only club in London where young Black, White Gay, and fluid non gender could dance all nite until 6am without feeling intimidated or fearful of what back then was completely outer the norm..Crackers was really the first Club in Soho who allowed young Black People in without any judgment..way before any Gay Clubs existed. Back then Sade would sing and it was blatantly obvious to ALL we were witnessing the rise of an exceptional artist who would make her own individual Foot Print in the Muzik Industry..we were Bang on Point..she had all the ingredients of past Black Female Artists and has secured her place alongside the likes of Billy Holiday. Ella Fitzgerald. Sarah Vaughan and Aretha Franklin. Aaliyah , Whitney to name just a few of an endless list of Goddess..Sade has lasted the test of time and is like a unique price less mineral..she is truly a gifted artist and we are so blessed to have her as Family. and to be part of a journey through her Muzik and personal emotional hurdles The Best Female Artist out of the United Kingdom..Amen..

Regarding the best female artist out of the UK. Wonder what Helen would say to that. Love the band Sade. If it wasn’t for an artist called Kate Bush, your statement might be unassailable. But Kate, she had some UK firsts. Helen, pretty much followed Kate’s lead and was given freedom to control her own career. Helen did however forego up front cash for a higher piece of the sales pie and boy did that pay off for her. Sade is timeless. Even all these years later their music is still fresh.

Is the date of this correct?? Is it a crime was recorded during the "promise" recording, which, accorded to all discography informations, was made from feb to Aug 1985.. So this would mean they had it in their bags a few months before they recorded it in studio..? If anybody knows about that..?
