No - not THAT Apple - but a Bell Telephone film that is part DADA, part Freakout, and part info-doc. Definitely a strange one.... and this is the stuff we used to see in elementary school! Far out! I transferred this reel with my Eiki Telecine, so enjoy!

This is awesome. Acid really soaked into art and film all thru the 70s.

Did this curiously-titled gem inspire a certain computer company founder? The artistic and admirable techno hippie ideals seem oddly parallel, thats for sure.

Who knows - maybe a young Steve Jobs saw this and it imprinted on his mind, and when it came time to name the company company, his unconscious thought of this and his conscious thought of the apple farm he had just visited.

Yeah I saw this in school. This was a tame acid trip for the kiddies. I remember films that made even less sense than this one. The teacher would play these films while they would nap at their desks.

Fran that was freaking awesome. We could do with a bit more 1970's psychedelia. Even though my TV remote probably has more computing power than the massive twinkling LED creations they envisaged back then somehow the future machines they envisaged seem more awesome than actually turned out.

Great film, a cynical response to Walt Disney's Fantasia as only the Italians could do it. The evolution of creatures on a pristine planet from the slime in a disposed of Coke bottle is pure genius.

As soon as I saw the name of the narrator, Hermoine Gingold, I knew this would be interesting. I think my favorite bit was re-framing Satan as a marketing executive. No wonder Douglass Adams believed they "would be the first up against the wall when the revolution came."

I have no idea what that was supposed to be about, but I think it was ... groovy? Honestly, I can't imagine being a creative type at a telecommunications company, going to my boss and explaining to them I want to make this. Unless it's preceded by "Have you tried acid?" (and obviously, said acid).

I was expecting a video containing some early "Apple Computer" graphics, and possibly some of the background information about the early stages of the computer design, back when Steve Wozniak first realized that he could generate "colors" and "graphics" on a TV screen, if he "got the timing just right", as he has stated in the past.
