...this is incredibly creepy. My kid is 22. I'm only a few years older than this man. I would be VERY wary of a man this age's interest in a 22 year old girl. ESPECIALLY after their relationship began with a such a dramatic imbalance of power. $100 tips? Steakhouse dates? When she was working in a bar....... yeah. Not predatory at all.

I find it baffling with all the comment saying this is a great story. If my 22 year old daughter dropped out of college without our knowledge, started working at a bar where young women had older men as clients that they entertained, and then fell in love with someone who is old enough to be her parent, I would not be happy one bit. Now, don't get me wrong as I am not against age difference relationships. My 24 year old daughter is married to am amazing woman who is 37. But, the entire situation in this story just seems wrong to me.

I didn't like her keeping the secret from her parents. I realize that she's an adult and she can do it she wants but she should have been honest with her parents.Other than that, awesome story!

24 years old and 37 years old isn't a huge age gap. It's only 13 years. I feel this story is talking about a much larger age gap, like 20 years or so.

The couple in this one is odd to say the least, but they seem happy and are building a actual healthy relationship at least. I believe that as long as a relationship is consensual, reasonably healthy, and all participants are legal, then it is their business. I'm personally don't understand relationships with a wide age gap, but that's mostly for practical reasons of different life stages and one partner being likely to die long before the other. The idea of dating someone old enough to be their parent also feels kinda icky for me personally, but personal taste is personal for a reason. But my policy is basically you do you as, long as it doesn't hurt yourself and/or others.
